Ottis information

I just spoke with Dan at Oakmont cemetery Lafayette, he will email me the grave locations, today or tomorrow. He said he would be glad to help family or friends find the location of the grave. They are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas but are open from sunrise to sunset, he said. So I will get that info to you, once I receive it. I was hoping to get the headstone pictures of Edith and her daughter in law Linda Ottis.

Thank you so much.

:) Susan

Oakmont cemetery Lafayette

Thanks for trying. I'll have to see if I can locate their email address or give them a call. Sorry to have put you through their nastiness. Have you run into this kind of thing before? Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

:) Susan

Thank you so much!! for taking your time and efforts in finding my grave requests! I appreciate the view from atop the hill.. very pretty for sure! I would make a few suggestions as you start taking photos of graves... try to make sure you do not cut off any part of the headstone, take several - up close and back a bit to give the requesting party the "feel" of the area / and the grave. It is ok to gently remove any flowers out of the vase so they do not cast a shadow on the marker - then replace of course. Overcast days are the best, the sun won't blow out your photos (glare), you won't have to worry about "reflections" on stones, and no worries about shadows from trees / people / flowers, etc. Awesome job on your first few shots.... and best of luck in the future!

Thank you very much for the picture of Herbert and Hazel's memorial. I got pictures of several others when I visited back home this summer but couldn't make it out to Oakmont.

Dear Norma -

I greatly appreciate your helping find the grave of Henrietta and you also found Simon her husband who passed about 15 years previous! Would you mind posting the same photo to Simons' memorial? 78822523

I just made it because we were unsure where he was buried, had differing data that made it tricky!

Thank you so much.. and we greatly appreciate your time and trouble.

Megan and Mary
