Hi Debbie,

It is definitely Elizabeth Morfeld in the photo. You can see the resemblance with her as an older woman. Also, Joseph is noticeably older than in his Civil War photograph. I've changed the caption for you. :)

Very sorry I can not help you. I do not know about the parents.

Good luck.

You might try and see what you can find there.

I have no relation to the Stieferman surname, that I know of :), thats not to say we may not be related somehow. I am sure you are going to enjoy the time in Missouri. All of my mothers side of the family, and my father live in Missouri. All over the state, in Franklin County, Madison County, and others.

I assume he is your father? A woman named Mary Stigler posted his obituary/death mention on a email list im on for Osage County, Mo. I thought if you didnt have it you may want to add it to his memorial.

Unterrified Democrat, July 1973:

My step father's name is Edmund Boillot. His great grandfather came from France to the Lynn/Bonnot Springs area. His god mother was Lenora Leivian. She lived across the road from the Bonnot's Mill and Verdot Cemeteries. He has very fond memories of her. Is she related to your Leivians?

Victor Leivian
I have Victor linked to his parents. If you would like for me to transfer him to you I would be happy to do so. Just let me know.

I see that his parents are in the Verdot Cemetery in Bonnots Mills. My Step Father has family in that Cemetery and several others in Osage County. I really enjoyed our trip down there looking for head stones. Many of the cemeteries were just back in some ones pasture. Interesting!

Thanks for the information on Victor

Oh my gosh your reply made me laugh. My husband teases me that I am very low maintenence. As long as I have a working camera and a cemetery im happy. I am addicted to Find A Grave and can spend alot of time working on things. Mary Stigler is amazing with all of her obits she has saved over the years.

George Catholic Church, Linn. She survives at the home.

RE: Theodore G Nilges
Going by birth date, I would wager that this Theodore would be the husband of Mary Magdalena. It appears she may have remarried after his death because I noticed I have 2 memorials for the same person. If you are related I would be happy to transfer these memorials over to you; just let me know.

Clara Grace Norton
I would be happy to try to correct the error you mentioned for Clara Grace Norton but I cannot find her on Find a Grave and I have the complete records in my possession for the Norton Cemetery here in McCammon and she is not listed on them either. Any other information that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
