Would you allow me to use your headstone photo posted for Eulis Neil Wilkes on my Ancestry tree? I would credit both yourself and findagrave. Thank you for your time.

|Michael Corden||Samuel [Coplovitz] Corden|
I saw your note at:
SAMUEL H. CORDEN
Pvt Co F 166 Inf
World War I
August 15, 1899 - April 28, 1956
This is Plot O-983. I went to the Office and checked and the same name is in their records, it is not Samuel Coplevitz.

You added the pics for my aunt's memorial, Donna Mae Warden (memorial ID #72474700), and I was wondering if you could also add those pics to my uncle, her husband's, memorial. He is Roy Earl Warden (memorial #87996229). Thank you so much.

Lin: that's fine: I just thought you would want to add James KINDRED's side of the marker to his virtual grave.

Lin: Thank you very much for photographing the graves of James Addison KINDRED (b. 1889) [link # 43405483] & Rhea Flossie BUTLER [link # 3411527] at Fort Rosecrans National Cem, San Diego, San Diego Co, California. You took very great photograps. One thing I see that should be done though is take your photograph of James side of the gravestone and move that from Rhea's virtual grave to James' virtual grave.

Thanks for your postings of your Dad. I find myself checking findagrave for quite a bit of my genealogy research as well. I started on mine in 64' and still tracking down my ancestors. One of ours were from Fostoria and I am putting together an article on the Chance's from Ohio. Would love to hear from you.

Thanks for getting the headstone pics of the Landis' for me. I had a question about Patricia's, was hers a separate stone, or was her info on the back of his?
I also wondered if you would allow me to use the pics in my family researching (with credit of course)? Gail

Lin, We are right in the middle of a lot of Civil War History. I did a few searches online for him, and I couldn't come up with anything about where he may be buried. I saw your F.A.G. memorial for him, and uncovered some references to him on Ancestry, but no burial location. I have been to a few of the battlefields - Manassas, Antietam, Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, etc. Some have National Cemeteries there with many burials, but as I'm sure you have done, searching that database does not turn up his name. Most of these cemeteries have large sections of "unknowns", which is certainly a possibility. Another possibility was that his family had the body shipped home to PA, and he is buried in an obscure cemetery there. I found references stating that casualties from Cedar Mountain were buried at Culpeper, Winchester, and Alexandria among others. There are several websites dealing with PA military history in the civil war. Anyway, sorry I don't have any more info than that. If you uncover anything more, let me know - I'd be glad to take a look. Dick Belle

Hope I did not cause too big of a problem and put you out too much for attempting to find Irene Bracchi at Fort Rosecrans. Apparently the guy who said she was there was mistaken. I thought he was too, but am not close enough to see for myself. I emailed him this morning to check his information. I just now checked and it seems that he has removed her from Fort Rosecrans. It's good that we all work together so that folks can find their kinfolk.
