RE: Transcriptions
My honor to see and help with the fantastic picture-taking you're doing, AradiaB...glad to partner-up with you! On this end, there are some glitches I hope get fixed soon so things become smoother and more accurate, but good team-work overcomes most of that for now ~ :)

RE: St Michaels church. Hoveringham.
Thanks for this information. Is it possible for you to add a caption to your photo stating that the church in your photo was built in 1865?

St. Michael's Hoveringham
You took a lovely photo of the present Hoveringham Church of St. Michael, but it really doesn't belong attached to memorials of persons who died centuries before the church in your photo was built.

Memorial #s 7768707, 63241413, 101098811.

"The ancient church of S. Michael, Hoveringham, was cruciform, without side-aisles, as may be seen from photographs taken before its destruction. It is doubtful if it originally had a tower. A brick one, however, with a lead spire, had at some time been erected, and contained three bells. In 1865 this interesting building was wantonly and inexcusably destroyed, to make way for the brick church now standing."

RE: York Minster tombs
Thank you Amanda,
I would love to be able to see the building and the inside, but I'm sure they wouldn't let you take photos of the inside. So, these York's are in tombs on the inside ?

Hi Amanda,

Thanks for trying to get the photos. I'm a patient one, so I can wait until the temporary displays are dismantled. Thanks for getting what you could. It is certainly appreciated.
