RE: 'Success' poem
Thank you for the information on the poem. I have had that in my purse for over 25 years. I felt it was perfect for my dad. I appreciate evveryone who leaves a memorial on my families' pages. I have such a wonderful family and want to share them. Thanks again,

Very happy to do it Sue. I always feel relatives should manage the pages if possible. Best of luck...hope you can find other relatives too.

Thank You very much for your response. I am just learning how to load the pictures etc. I will try to move the one for Louis to his site. That was a good idea. Some people ask for any other family members on Find A Grave - that is why I put it there. Thanks!

RE: Kim C. Olson
Hi there...Thank you for the warm welcome to Findagrave. I have found people on this site very friendly. I too had to add my Mother and others to this site. It stings to see them listed so I know what you mean...I miss them so much.

Your brother's memorial
Thank you for letting me know how much what I said meant to you. As I work with Find A Grave I am always running across soldiers, like your brother and stop and pay tribute to them. I have a great love for the military. My grandfather served for England in WWI; my mother was a member of the Canadian Women's Army Corps and my father was in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. My husband was in the Unites States Air Force for 26 years serving during Korea and Vietnam; my step-son was in the Navy and my son-in-law was in the Army during the first Desert Storm. Those in the military sacrifice so much for us, it is the least I can do to honor them in such a small way.

RE: Thomas Corporon
Thanks my's something that has plagued me all my life. Always digging around for more info...brings to mind the old saying about curiosity killing the cat! Happy to know the info is received in the manner it is intended. Don't be surprised if you hear from me on another memorial.
Take care, Wanda

RE: Thomas Corporon
Hello and thanks for the reply! I'm not looking for a transfer of Mr. Corporon's memorial :) I found the info on the funeral home website that handled his funeral. DOB/DOD years are a match and the location was a match so I felt comfortable submitting the info....but I understand your hesitation and desire for source info.

Below is the Source Link.

This is a relativly new hobby for me --researching the internet to see if I can locate any additional info for memorials that are either missing dob/dod and or bio info (mostly bio/obit info). It satisfies the inner detective in me!

I always provide the Fact Source when I contact a fellow FindAGrave member, however since this was just an adjustment to dob/dod I used the quick link that doesn't allow for an explanation or source info. Shame on me...lesson learned :)

OK, thanks in advance :) Wanda aka wesblues

RE: Stanley Kavolski
I don't recall which edits I proposed, but here's what I have found:
The California Death Index indicates he died in Los Angeles County, and also shows his social security number prefix as 138 - which was issued in New Jersey.

Both WWI & WWII Registration cards (matching name & birth date) state that he was born in Brooklyn, NY, while the 1920 Census as well as the registration cards show he was residing in New Jersey.

I have no connection with Mr. Kavolski. I have been looking through the "Application for Headstone or Marker" list in to add or update burial locations for veterans who had markers issued and I'll do a basic search on them to add in obvious details.

Thanks for being cautious. My father is a veteran of WWII as well and I wouldn't want someone making wreckless changes to his online memorial. In most cases I'm finding that most of the applications I come across do not have a corresponding record in Find A Grave. Some, like this one, have just have dates, so I will try to add basic info if I'm reasonably confident of the information.

Kathy Shaw
Lytle Creek
We are very familiar with Lytle Creek. For years we took our large families and friends and picnicked there. Sadly, in 1979, my 16 year old nephew, David Shaw, fell from the top of Bonita Falls. I don't believe any of our family went back there to picnic again. We had lots of very good times there and the kids loved it. We lived in Rialto. Thank you for leaving flowers for Robert. He was an adorable kid and we miss him.

Jim Anderson
Porter lot
Your welcome. The cemetery in Assonet is an easy look. Some of the stones go waaaaaaay back. In your case the Porter lot has quite a few descendents interred there. The newer monument in the center replicates most of who is in the lot.The older stones are quite weathered.
I have family in MA,MI,WA,AZ,MN,WI.UK,IRE. My biggest problem is the name changing from Sweden/Norway. My last name is Anderson and believe it is derived from Anders/Andersdotter but don't know much about tracking them. They were a bunch of elusives. Have you had any luck tracing back to foreign countrys?
