Cecelia Turney, 8 Months Old Was Sick a Long Time.
Cecelia Elizabeth Turney, the 8 months old daughter of Edward Turney, died this morning at her home 519 Ann avenue. Death was due to whooping cough. The child has been sick for some time but hopes were held out for her recovery. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at St. Mary's Catholic church Fifth and Ann avenue.
Hi again - this is the death notice for little Cecelia Elizabeth - as you can see the spelling of the surname is all over the place with several versions being used.

TIRNEY___Frederic Herbert; died at the home of his parents, 517 Ann ave., Sept. 28, at the age of 5 months. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church, 5th and Ann, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock; interment St. John's Cemetery. Frank Gavin, funeral director.
Anita - this is the notice that was published in the newspaper. Also the receipt from the funeral director states that TWO headboards (grave markers) were purchased, the second one most likely for the sister, Cecelia Elizabeth #81989298, who died in 1914.

Hi Anita, I have just put in photo requests for Annie Tierney, previously Annie Eden and her grandchildren Frederick & Cecelia Tierney. Annie, I believe was widowed, when Patrick Eden died. He may be buried there also??? This could be why I was told that the 2 children are buried under the name of Eden. Between these two surnames names, the cemetery should have information. I also have been told that Annie has a prominent headstone. I so appreciate your help. Being 1500 miles away, is frustrating!

Hi Anita, I am reading much information about this family. Evidently, the grandmother was 1st married to an Eden, then married a Tierney. Her son w/ Tierney, was the father of the children I am hoping to find. When I unravel a bit more info. I will send it to you. I never did get a response to my email, sent to the cemetery! Thanks for remembering.

Thank you so much for the clear photo of my great-grandparents, William & Hattie (Harrell) Evans tombstone! My great-grandfather lived until 102 years old and was still mentally sharp until the end. Now my daughter understands more about him and her great-great-grandmother. God bless you. Have a beautiful day!

Anita, thank you so much for attempting to find the grave-site of baby Frederick Tierney. I have communicated with a cousin and additional information says he is buried under the name of EDEN. I am emailing the cemetery to see if they can locate him by researching the Eden name. There was a sister that died as a child and I am in the process of doing a memorial page for her also, Cecelia Elizabeth Tierney. If you get back to the cemetery, perhaps you can also give them this new information.
