I've sent an edit request to the manager of her memorial.

If I can be of further assistance, just let me know.

Albertha Collins
Regarding your photo request: Yes, according to the record this was an infant, born 6/2/1988, died 7/9/1988, and burial on 7/16/1988.

Unfortunately, her crypt does not have a name plaque on it. I will be uploading a photo showing it, anyway.

I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome.

Best regards,

I'm glad to help. The Baha'i temple there is a favorite stopping place. Very beautiful and a great museum underground!

Priscella Hassan photo request

You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for Priscella Hassan . I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photos for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. They will also be able to tell you whether or not there is a headstone. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!

Moore Adoptee
My name is Kristi Brown Webber and I am researching possible relatives for my cousin, who was given up for adoption in July 1965 in Rochester, NY, at birth. My cousin's birth name was "Baby Girl Moore". Her mother was listed. as being 21 (in 1965) said to have come from a well educated family, completed 2 years of college when became pregnant, wore glasses to drive and watch movies and was farsighted in ONE eye, fair and blue eyed, Protestant, Scotch-German, and said that, "Twins run in the family". The birth father was 23 (in 1965) A salesman, with prior 4 years military experience, branch undisclosed, dark hair and blue eyes, of Polish/English descent. The birth mother's family apparently lived close enough to Rochester, to drive to visit her on the weekends, while she was pregnant and confined at the North Haven/ Hillside Home for Unwed Mothers. Please let me know if you can provide any insight into this matter, it would be so appreciated! :) Thanks Krissi KJBW75@GMAIL.COM

Created the memorials # 144801838 and # 144801808.

I enjoy a good challenge, too.

Have fun!

Actually, I took them already. :)

They are for Zeddie Hart 1935-2007 and Sarale Alice Owens Jan 18, 1918 - Dec. 8, 1977.

If you want to make the memorials I would be glad to upload the photos.

Have a great day!

RE: May Scheffler at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery
From the May 18, 1962 Chicago Tribune:

Carl Scheffler of 1821 Lincoln street, Evanston, May 17, 1962, husband of May T. Sheffler; father of Mrs. Victor de Araujo of Seattle, Wash., and Harlan C. Scheffler of Elmhurst, Ill.; four grandchildren. Resting at Hebblethwaite Chapel, 1567 Maple avenue, Evanston, where service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment Graceland cemetery.

I hope this helps your research.

RE: Arna True Perron
Dear Candace, it was my pleasure to help. What a very interesting project you are involved in. By a strange twist of circumstances, a family that my family has been friends with for almost 30 years just buried their husband/father in Brea, Calif. Ehsan was from Iran originally, and his family is Baha'i. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of his marker. I have been using Rock Creek's master list to add in grave sites for all the memorials on the request list -- that way, it will be easier for those fulfilling the requests to find the graves. It is a very large cemetery! I hope that this will help you get a photo sooner.

RE: Hi Duane
I don't see these messages often. I do know about Bertha. She was the second Baha'i in Topeka. She created the first community here. When she left, things fell apart. She wrote to Mabel about events here and I'm eager to read those letters, but they've not been accessioned that I know of.

After traveling to Olivet once, I discovered that John was buried in Topeka - in the same cemetery with my mother's parents and many Baha'is. I was amazed. He is our first death-bed conversion. It's in my book (so is Bertha).

Glad to know we have another connection.

I've just posted memorials for my Irish, McAllister family line. Obituaries confirmed stories my grandmother told. That was nice.

RE: Laura Clifford Barney
I think the stone is referring to her spouse. She married Hippolyte Dreyfus. You could update he memorial to her married name as well. I do know about her sister. I think she was one of the first open gay women?

RE: May Scheffler at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery
I am sorry this is not the correct May. I asked about Carl and Charles, but they are not listed at the cemetery management office that I went to.

There is a second management company who may be able to help you. Please contact Silverman & Weiss: Phone: 708-366-0125. If they have the people you are looking for, please send me the burial plot locations, and I will go back to the cemetery and take photos for you.

In case you do not know, this is a massive cemetery that combined 300 individual cemeteries into one cemetery with over 150,000 burials. There are often duplicate names between the two management companies that take care of the burial plots. Because of my schedule I usually only work with one of the two management companies, but I do take photos of any burial plot throughout the cemetery complex.

Please let me know if you have any questions in regards to this information.

I am not sure. The info that I have is that this is her name? Do you know if there was a marriage. I will gladly delete the memorial incase it is a duplicate. Let me know though if you find out about her name. My cousin in France and her kids are working on this cemetery. Thanks
