RE: Nettie Mae Townley
Hi Carolyn, I am sorry I have been so long but I have not been on the computer. Nettie Mae had a heart problem. That is why she died at a young age. Because of her heart, her Mom was afraid for her younger sister Goldie to play basketball at school. Aunt Goldie snuck around and played until GGrandma found her uniform and made her quit. Aunt Goldie still fussed about that until her death. She lived to be 101 years. I don't know much about her. Her son is still living. Carol lives in Arkansas. {unless he had died and I haven't heard} I will ask my Mom and see what she says. She may not know much. She was the first grandchild and then Carol I think. So she was young when Nettie died. She may have heard things though. Dennese

RE: Frank Swarthout
No problem I want my postings to be correct and useful to the genealogy community. My goal with that cemetery is at least a headstone picture, name, dates and location for each grave.

Carol Laughlin
RE: Sylvester Goldsmith
This was an obituary in the DuBois Daily Express. His funeral arrangements were handled by the N. R. Moore Funeral Home but they had no other information.

RE: Reginald
Hi Carolyn, Yes, Reginald was my cousin, Eva (Baker) Smith's husband. She was a first cousin to my dad. Eva sent me this picture a few years ago. It is a good picture. I think I have a picture of their sons, if you want me to to email it to you. Let me know. Thanks for your note!

Someone sent the exact dates through the edit system and I cannot remember who sends each one. Sorry. Let's hope he wasn't living a double life. LOL

Alfrata Sperry Lyons
Hi Carolyn,

I tried to upload links for Alfrata's Mother Phoebe Caroline Wood 84663109 and Father James Monroe Sperry 84662449, but it is pending a submission from Shirley. Phoebe was my Grandfather's Mother's Ada Mae Smith Aunt, Ada Mae was Alpha Anna Wood's Sister.

Eric Watson
RE: Sacramento County Cemetery
Hi Carolyn,

There is not a lot of information associated with these people. They were all considered indigent without any family support to cover final expenses.

Regards, Eric

RE: Dwyer & Smith
Jeepers, by their obituary, they had no surviving relatives...no one who would qualify to get a death certificate. I certainly hope your endeavor to get information is eventually successful, Carolyn!

RE: Jeanette Dwyer & Christine Smith
Carolyn...that is disturbing about the Luceros "surviving" other people. I had not found that yet, but makes one wonder if they were some kind of care providers who got into "good graces" of some of their employers for financial gain. Guess I should try to research them more as you have done. Since you are family, perhaps you can get death records of Christine and Mrs. Dwyer? Plus I'll have to put them on a list for next trip to physical library to see if there was another article about them in the newspaper when they passed.

RE: Jeanette Dwyer
I wondered the same about simultaneous deaths, but all I've managed to find so far is a college picture of Christine Dwyer Smith. There was probably something in the newspaper at the time, but did not get put into obituaries.

Yes she does deserve it. She was a very sweet lady, but a spit fire too.

No the date has not been added to the headstone. I have talked to the brother that lives there. If you could please ask Ken to look into this when he goes to visit that would be great. Our hands are tied being so far away.
BTW Congrats on the upcoming Nuptials!!

Thank you for fulfilling my request. There should be no waiting period so it may be just a glitch in the database. I recommend you to log out, then log in to try again. Such glitches should be temporary.

RE: William Taylor
Hi Carolyn! It was Wayne this time. I was at work, he went in 17 degree weather and just did a drive through. With William are Estelle Wuest (added photo) Female ? Taylor Walls 1890-1952, Claude O. Taylor, pic already added, Mack Lee Walls 1874-1966. They are all on one slab together so are related somehow. I can tell by the photo they are in the same area as your Hughes, Laws. When it warms up some we will go back and walk it. Merry Christmas!! Connie and Wayne
