Hershell Garrigus
Hello Laura,

Thanks for the information and I have deleted my mistake with Hershell's memorial. Imogene just passed away this year and was buried at Eastside "GG" section. I see now that Rozan has a memorial at Oak Hill for her, "unknown" but that is incorrect. You might know, why is Imogene not buried at Oak Hill? Thanks for keeping a eye out for me.

RE: Sam Butler
I'm not related to Sam, that I know of. I happen to have a lot of family buried at Pinson, so on one visit I photographed the entire cemetery and made sure it all got on line.

Re: Helen R Garrigus
The spouse link has been added to the memorial of Helen Robbins Garrigus as requested. When creating memorials, I never link names on a headstone until a family member contacts me as I have found too many times that 2 names on a headstone do not always denote husband and wife. I see you must be related so If you would like me to transfer this memorial to your care, please let me know, I will be happy to do so. I have no famial connection to this person. I am merely someone who mows the rows with a camera and adds memorials as I go along

No, I am not kin to anyone buried in Muldrow Memory Gardens. If you would like any memorials, let me know. I never mind transferring them.

Sorry, I couldn't find anything that says where he might be buried. On the 1900 census for Township 10, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, he is 62 and living with his son Bird and daughter Bessie. Muldrow's City Library has books with people listed who are buried in Sequoyah County Cemeteries. There is also a list online for Sequoyah County Cemeteries, but his name wasn't on it for Muldrow Cemetery. He could have had a field marker and so maybe he could be in Muldrow Cemetery and just wasn't recorded.

RE: Vernie Dublin
Also, I wanted to tell you that I noticed Albert Columbus Wray married Emmadatha Watts..
His brother William Wilkins Wray married Fannie Narcissus Watts (Emmadatha's sister) and Emmadatha's brother William also married Albert's sister Temperence Wray. So quite a few connections in these two families...I have a note that Emma Brown was buried in Sebastian Cemetery in Missouri but I am not sure it is her or not. I think the dates are unknown.

RE: Vernie Dublin
This is what the Adam brothers (Francis Marion Wray's grandsons) told me:

Albert Columbus Wray had either just bought a gun or else he had lent his gun out, and it had been returned. In any event, he decided to clean his "cap and ball" rifle in the front yard of his home. With his toe on the hammer and mouth on the barrel end he starts to blow down the barrel, his toe slips, the rifle is loaded.....

He was buried in the yard of their farm that later was known as the "Cahoon place" (CEMETERIES OF MADISON COUNTY STATES: B.B.Cahoon). Years later a barn was constructed, and it is said that a corner of this barn is over Albert's grave.

This information was provided by Carolyn Milner via email....It stated Emmadatha remarried in Nov 1881 to John H. Brown also...I do not know where she is buried.I never knew where Emmadatha Watts Wray was buried?...she married the second time John H. Brown in Fulton Co., KY, November 5, 1881. Some one? told me it was believed she was buried around the Austin Springs area in Tennessee. Would you know where she might be buried? Also what happened to John Brewington, Sidney Calvernia's first husband?

I come down through Algin Sidney Wray's, Henry. Henry son, Norman Boyd Wray, was my father. Daddy was reared in the vicinity of Cuba, KY. When he and Mother married then they moved to the neighborhood of her parents in the Wingo, KY, vicinity. The roads in Graves Co., KY, are named for the oldest people who live on those. Wray road where Daddy, Mother, Kenneth (my brother) and I lived is still known as Wray Road, however, I can remember when it was Bell Road (my maternal grandparents) Ken and I still own our parents farm which part of the farm belonged to my maternal grandparents, Ira and Nora Weaks Bell. Neither of us live on the farm. Ken lives in Sedalia, Graves Co., KY, and Bob and I live in Carlisle Co., KY. Carlisle joins Graves...but we are about 40 miles away from the Wray farm. We are on Bob's parents' farm....the 4th generation to live here.

Keep in touch so we can "fill in blanks".....Carolyn

RE: Vernie Dublin
Thank you again...I was able to save it to my computer....One question on Sidney Calvernia Wray Dublin....Her mother is Emmadatha Watts and I am having such a hard time finding where she is buried and when she died...She is listed as Emma Dathia, Emma, Emmadatha(which is how my mother had it in her bible). She married Albert Columbus Wray (who's brother is Algin Sidney Wray) We are told she was Native American (Cherokee). Would there be any records at the cemetery stating who Sidney's mother was.....? I am not sure you can look at that type of information but if you can it sure would be appreciated.

Thank you so much.

OMG...sorry - I have never used the message format on this page...not very familiar with find a grave except the headstones I have been able to find. I would love a picture of Sidney Calvernia Wray's headstone. Thank you so much...I have seen all the work you have been doing and am so appreciative of the contributions.

Yes, if you want to take what is in the bio of the one I created and paste it into the bio of yours, I think that would be the easiest. Let me know when you do so I can delete the one I created. Here is the memorial number for the one I created: 16757648.
