Thanks for Eunice's stone # I found Asa Merry's Stone # 81756985 1770-1837 but I can not locate his wife Sally Bartlett Merry - I am doing one generation at a time locating their stones - I really appreciate your help -

I was pleased to find your reference to Betsy Ludlow Holmes Burlingame Sherman this morning. I've been working on the history of this family for decades and work with other descendants all over the country. My third great grandmother Deborah Holmes Sage was the half sister of Betsy Ludlow Holmes. I recently received pictures of the Holmes siblings that are archived in the New York State Library at Albany which I added to the one I had of Deborah in her last years that was passed down from her daughter Jane Sage Mathewson, my second great grandmother. If you are a close enought connection to be interested in our work, you may contact me at vgmpaint@aol.com.

Willaim Field
Hi,
I was looking at William's and Waite's memorials, turns out I don't think they are in my Field family line, and noticed that only one child is linked to William. A very good headstone picture is on the memorial which lists other children and I saw that memorials had been done for them. You might be interested in linking them.

Hi Michael,

I just want to let you know I have not forgotten about getting a new picture for Mary Benway #36749326. I do not save most of my pictures so when the memorial was merged my picture was lost. I haven't been up that way since, but before the end of the year I will.

Thanks,
Tyler

I posted the photo because I hate to see these old stones with chalk on them. I think some people need to read the rules of F.A.G. Yes I have other photos of the Cem. If you want other
photos let me know. If I don't have them I will try to get them. Thanks

Mike,

I believe that the individual who created this memorial has fabricated it as a hoax. You are well intentioned in wanting a photograph of the resting place for this individual but both you and I would be playing into the hands of the idiot who created this hoax if either one of us tried to contact this person.

I got their email address from their " Help with Find A Grave" section. They have a section about getting relatives transferred to yourself and they gave an e-mail address. I use it whenever I need to have one of my memorials corrected, usual when somebody else is added something that is incorrect or have added something I just don't want on the memorial and refuse delete; or they put in a duplicate. Find a Grave wants you to contact the person who who added the dup and request it be deleted before they get involved. The email address is "info@findagrave.com". Just make sure to add the memorial number and name and the duplicate information. I have most of my trouble with our local genealogy society who some how think the manage the site.

I am aware that someone has added duplicates. I contacted the man that added them and requested that he delete them. He also has two other dups that he did not delete. I contacted Find A Grave and they will delete them. I is possible, I suppose that he is not sure how to do the deletion he is a newer member.

RE: Mary Maria Monti Benway
Hi Michael,

I didn't realized that he recreated the memorials. I asked him to delete a bunch of duplicates earlier this summer, which he did, but now I haven't gotten any response from him. Sorry if I sounded frustrated this morning, there is another user that has been posting memorials to wrong cemeteries and it is frustrating to try and photograph a cemetery when people add wrong memorials!

Hi Michael,

I sent Find a Grave an email 2 weeks ago and they haven't done anything about it yet.

Thanks for transferring Elkanah Sherman's memorial page to me. I had not considered asking you to let me take it over, but think I might like to try maintaining it myself if it is okay. I do have to say that it is a somewhat challenging page for my first one since there is so much info there already. I would like to contact you privately if possible. I wrote you a longer message with more info that I thought you might be interested in and then noticed that this was a public message and though it would be better to shorten it. Thanks again,
Eric Elliott

It appears that we have some of the same relations. "Col Israel Angell" is also my 5th Grt. grandfather. "Col Christopher Green" is another.

RE: Olney, Isaac 27980633
I was able to see some of the lower broken portion of Capt James Olney (Eldest Son of Thomas) grave marker. Also hope to see if an excavation of the area might reveal 4 or 6 broken tops (might not be readable but won't know until action taken if allowable). Seems they be 6 to 10 inches below the ground cover (maybe)!
