It appears we have duplicate grave markers in Mountain View and Washington Lawn cemetaries in Centralia. Find A Grave Memorial #101331710, 80521777 for Adam John Ward and #102410086, 80521756 for Martha E Ward. The Lewis County Genealogical society transcription records for Washington Lawn show these burials in Plot 315A. I also physically photographed them there. LCGS doesn't reflect either of these burials in Washington Lawn. Please review and let me know if in fact these are duplications. Thanks.

Thanks. That's kind of what I thought. I found it touching to see them buried together. Sure made it easier to find both! :)

My pleasure in finding this for you. Glad I could help. Am I safe in assuming Terry Devlin is somehow related since they're buried next to each other? I also got his grave pictures.

|Ron Thorne||Devlin & Connors at Benn|
I shot several more pictures today than I probably needed to, including a few of both of them side-by-side. Apparently they were related? If you e-mail me (my e-mail address is on my profile) so I can get your regular e-mail address I'd be happy to send you ALL the shots I got today.

I got your e-mail about Edward Connors and I'd like to talk with you about him more to help determine if he's the same Edward Connors as your great grandfather. My e-mail is on my page so you can contact me directly.

|Wilma Staton||RE: Lancaster Franklin Darbe|
Hi - I just read your message of yesterday. I'm glad I could provide some info on Lancaster Darbe. Do you know anything about his extra name of Timothy? I have had such a busy end of 2011 and the first part of this year and I hadn't read your message in Nov. Do you need names of his other children, and which one is your line? His daughter, Altha J Darbe, is my maternal grandmother. Thanks, Wilma

Someone had filled in the letters of his name with white so you could read it. It is sad when monuments are in such condition.

Maggie is buried in Pioneer Cemetery behind Mountain View. There is a marker picture on her memorial there.

I added 2 new pictures. It was a bright sunny day. Milwaukee had 2 new snow storms this week. One yesterday. One with my shadow and one in the sun.
The marker faces south. A-C face south, D north, rest east.
But I think I will have to take one in the summer when I can get shadows on the text. Winter sun come up so late, and to the south. It 3:18pm and it below the houses already.
I'll remove any you don't like.

Have linked John to his father Owen Devlin and added the information about Owen under notes on John's memorial. If you want that information on Owens memorial you will have to contact the person who created that memorial.
Thank you, Bonnie

With the snow and the hazy sun, the picture looks dark. It wasn't, but I will go back next weekend and try again. maybe the snow will melt or sun will be brighter.

|Kay Stein||RE: Waving at a cousin|
It was nice to hear from you. Delilah is my great-great grandmother. I am descended from her daughter Sarah (Cherry) Bristow. I was interested to see the pictures of Dee Devlin. Was he a railroad engineer? I am a bit of a train buff, and I've ridden the train through Centralia many times.

I can't post any additional photos either, but if you don't mind to send them to me I can store the somewhere. I'm not a relative of the Barnes, just someone who posted their memorials. It's too bad they don't allow more photos to be posted without sponsoring the memorials...

You're welcome for the corrections and I should have their marker photo posted sometime Monday since I have to go to the cemetery office to find the correct area to search for their marker(s).

|Sue Butterfield Picard||RE: Amos Ward|
Hi, I have made a correction to "Amos"...this stone actually reads James A. Ward. I'm not related to anyone in Lakeview Cemetery. I just photographed the entire cemetery and posted last year. After you contacted me I checked out the index: Block 104 L3 (Area 6)buried in this plot are: Amos Ward, James Ward, George Rathbun, Martha Rathbun and Robert Rathbun. I've checked obits and found James so added his vitals and it lists 3 siblings and 4 children and where they live. I found a Mrs. Amos Ward died in Bemidji, MN in the Fri., Dec 8, 1922 newspaper, son Dr. Louis Ward also died in Bemidji in the 23 Jan 1920(says 1921 in index) newspaper. Also, a great article regarding the longevity of the Ward siblings in the 19 Dec 1911 Eau Claire paper.(Ancestry.com newspaper collection) Now, I just checked my photographs. I found your Amos' stone. I had labeled both James & Amos as Amos and only posted James stone to Amos' name. I will add the new memorial for Amos now and his stone. If you wish any of these two families transferred to you please request them using the edit button on the memorial. It makes it easier for me to transfer. Hope this helps... Sue
