Cathi, I saw you name on the memorial page for Samuel Hurst. Is this Samuel Hurst the son of Edward Hurst Who is the son of John Hurst born 1803?
John Hurst b 1803 buried in Franklin County, Franklin Cemetery north of Benton is my 2nd great grandfather. One of John's sons by his 2nd wife Elizabeth Bandy Mitchell Hurst was Levi hurst who is my great grandfather.
I am trying to locate where John Hurst first wife Sarah sterns is buried. Do you have that information? Also am seeking a picture of John Hurst b1803 & any of his wives.
Thank you for any information you can give me. Alice Hurst

|Beverly Collins Carroll||Emily Jane Ridenour Truitt|
I am working on my family tree. I am related to Emily, her 1st cousin 3x removed. I am questioning her age when she had her last child with Mr. Truitt. The child born in 1903, William A Truitt. She would have been 58 years old. I can believe a man not having trouble fathering a child at that age and older but have trouble believing a woman delivering a child. Do you have a copy of the birth certificate?
Emily's mother, Sallie Sarah Brantley, is my 2nd great aunt. Her brother, John Robert Brantley is my Great great grandfather.
I appreciate any clarification on this and thank you for your help.

My husband's gg grandmother was Bridget McEnroe O'Keeffe who is buried in Manito, Mason Co, IL. In the early 1980s, I corresponded by letter with Helen (your grandmother?) and she wrote lovely letters about the McEnroe and O'Keeffe/O'Keefe families. It really helped me understand the family and though I never met her, she seemed like a very sweet lady.
Her ancestor and my husbands ggg grandmother, Elizabeth Murphy McEnroe is also buried in St Fredericks Cem in Manito IL & was born in Parish Bellongh, County Meath (prob. Ballinlough).

You are so very welcome. I do not mind transfering any of the memorials I have created to family member. I actually prefer that a family member does manage them, makes them more personal. If you need any more transfered all ya have to do is ask. Have a great weekend. =)

I have already transferred these memorials to someone else. Charles Wesley Truitt and Mary Berdelle Topping Truitt are maintained by someone named Sue, you'll have to contact her. Sorry.

|Baxter B. Fite III||RE: Sarah Catherine Truitt|
Dear Cathi, First of all, are you related to Keith Steffen, of St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria? I work there and was just wondering. Second I'm not sure if we are talking about the same Sarah Catherine Truitt (Truett). From what I have seen, the older John Wesley Truitt (Truett) was the father of about seven or eight children, including George Washington Truett. George was married to a widow, Nancy Jane (__________) Parker in the 1850's. They had a daughter named Sarah Catherine Truitt (Truett), who was born in 1857/58 in Indiana. This Sarah Catherine Truitt is believed to have been married to a Benjamin Lyon. Is this the Sarah Catherine Truitt (Truett) you are referring to or is there another Sarah Catherine Truott (Truett)? Thanks for interest in getting this straight. I, too, want the biographies of these Civil War veterans as accurate as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you again. Baxter

I was concerned my post didn't go through, and, I apologize, it went through
twice and I'm not sure how to delete. There only needs to be the one post.
Are you talking about the 2 flowers you left on this memorial?? if so click on one of them and it will bring up a page where it says delete this offering.

You are welcome! Glad I could help.
Would you happen to know if William S Truitt has a cemstone at chillicothe cemetery?
I looked last friday with no luck and over the weekend looked through my chillicothe pics on my computer and found Margrets cemstone but nothing for William. If he'd been beside her I would have taken his also, so any help would be appreciated.
