Hi Sylvia and Gary
I am so sorry - I don't think that I have replied to your posting from 2015. I am usually very prompt in responses. I will have to keep my eyes open in the future.
Thanks to Gary and his memorial entries, it has given a lot of closure and I have learnt so much.
I wish you and the children well and will keep in touch.
Every blessing

Poorhouse Almshouse Farm Cemetery
Hello JayCo.Kid;

I was reading the description of the possible location of the Poorhouse Farm Cemetery, along Second Creek, Monroe County, and decided to do some research. I've added a few records of individuals that were staying at the Almshouse, as you can check and see. I too, am looking into the Dunsmores who had lived in Monroe County, because they connect to the Carter lineage, which by marriage to a Wykle. As I was reading the description, I decided to look at topographical maps and followed Second Creek from the Greenbrier River all the way up to Gap Mountain. There were two cemeteries along Second Creek, one a short distance from Second Creek the village, on the left hand side of the creek. I dismissed that being the cemetery. However, the other, is near the headwaters of Second Creek, close to Gap Mills, and on Gap Mountain. Which closely indicates the description of the Poorhouse Farm Cemetery, that you provided as a location. My Grandparents were from Monroe, over near the small community of Sarton, up on the Knobs road. I hope this is helpful. As I modified a PLOT with GPS corridinates, so a map can be added to the descriptive entry of the Poorhouse Farm Cemetery. The cemetery on a topographical map, is off of the road going to Moncove Lake, up on a hill side. I will double check with some cousins who live in the area and are more familiar with Gap Mills

Hi Gary and Sylvia,
Great to see you on FindAGrave which is a brilliant vehicle for meeting distant relatives. Sorry for delay in replying as we were overseas ... not as far as Texas :). Will keep in touch and happy "digging" for lost relatives.

Info on Geo.W. Hall
Greetings Gary,
I am looking for any information on George Washington Hall that you might have or might have seen.
I am a Great Grandson of one George Washington Hall from Muncie, IN. He had five sons, that i know of: Arthur (Art); Jesse; Glen (my Grandaddy); Clerence (possibly Charles??), and George.
Your bio on Francis Hale (a.k.a. Frank Hall) contains information that, nearest i can tell, resembles ANY information that I have on any of my great relatives.
Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thank You so much.
~Shane Hall

McCargar Headstones
thank you for their photos. They are distant family and I am working with another relative in Australia to fill in the blanks. I noticed you were looking at Beach & McCargar as well - which branch are you??
