Charlotte Parsons
Hi!

I attempted to submit an edit suggestion for Charlotte Severance Parsons, but for whatever reason, the system wonít accept the edit for her parents without deleting her husband. Iíve run into this from time to time, and I presume itís a bug.

At any rate, if youíd like to update Charlotte (112290680), her parents were Ptolemy (112421491) and Harriet (112421589)

Cheers!

Daniel A Allyn FAG #123339800
Daniel A Allyn is my 3rd great uncle, the son of Selah and Thankful (Allen) Allen. According to Massachusetts Town and Vital Records 1620-1988, he was born 11 Apr 1799. Their source for this information was his gravestone in Federal Street Cemetery, so the date must haven been visible at one time. No further records of his life have been found, so he may have been stillborn or died young.

RE: Caleb Chase
You have an interesting ancestor!

I scanned the photo from p. 67 of Boats and Boating in the Adirondacks by Hallie E. Bond. The book is copyright in 1995 and published by The Adirondack Museum / Syracuse University Press. Page 62 has a photo of a paddle made by Caleb, and pp. 66-67 and 132-133 have biographical information about Caleb related to his life in Newcomb, NY and his work as a boatbuilder in the region. The book references its sources with footnotes.

You could suggest that the memorial's maintainer add some of this information to the memorial.

I see you have other requests for that cemetery...but I was unable to find those graves. I am hoping to go up again soon and take more photos, since there are WAY more than 900 burials there.

You are very welcome! I also added several Bompatastores, since that was your Mary's maiden name, and because they were easy to find. :D

Photo request question
There seems to be a photo request for a grave memorial where you already have a photo. F. G. Tuckerman and Frederick Tuckerman. Is it possible to combine the two entries and make it one? I am not aware of how to do that and if it is possible, let me know because I have a cemetery in Missouri I work on where that happened. Thanks, Jan

Tuckerman graves
Dear MC,
I'm writing a blog post about the Tuckermans and might like to use your photo of Hannah L. Tuckerman's grave, and perhaps that of her husband, Frederick. Would you please let me know if that's all right? I can provide more information upon request. Many thanks. Mgt

Hi MC. I see you photographed the headstone of my late uncle Israel Rodriguez. I just happened to be thinking about him this evening and I am glad I found that some one found his grave because I couldn't remember where he was buried. It's been 20 years since he passed and 20 years since I was last at his grave. Even though it is just one picture, I want to thank you. Had you not taken this picture, I probably would have not found him.

I do have a question though. Did some one request that you take a photo or did you just happen to come across it?

Henry N Lown
98601207. Henry N and Nancy Lown are one of my great great great grandparents. I searched several cemeteries in Dutchess County over the years but never had any luck locating their grave. Thanks for posting the picture. The name on the side of their grave marker is one of their sons, Frank D Lown. Henry N Lown's father's grave is also on the Find A Grave website, Memorial # 9427738. Please link the Henry N Lown marker with his father David D Lown.
Thanks, Joe

Dear Marcy, Now that I'm certain I've identified all the Hopson headstones, I'll contact Bard College and see what information they have for the family. Can't wait! Thank you for all your help plus all the transfers :). Charlet Emery Roskovics

RE: Hopsons
Dear Marcy, I cannot explain my excitement with these memorials! May I be greedy and ask for a transfer of MARY WILLIAMSON JOHNSTON HOPSON #98601156? She would be the wife of Rev. George B. Hopson whom you transferred already. I certainly will read the information you offered in the link! Caroline (Allis) and Oliver Hopson had a son Edward "Ned" Hopson who was born in 1842 and died 19 October 1864 near Belle Grove, VA. If you give me your e-mail address I'll share the information I have on him. Oliver and Caroline had other children, too, but they don't seem to mesh with your memorials. Again, MANY THANKS!!! RE: Drapers at Federal Street Cemetery
Thanks, will follow up and see what I can find. If you want to transfer her to me, that would be fine. Not a necessity though, she's a 5th cousin several times removed so not terribly close. If you do transfer her, could you transfer her hubby as well.

Pat
