Oral Almira Cary Gast - # 146559820
Hello,
I have a question about your memorial for Oral Almira Cary Gast
You list her maiden name as Cary but then have her linked to parents of a different last name.

I believe that she is a Cary and her parents are Wilbur and Clova (#81430611 & #124721964)

I am happy to make this edit, but I didn't want to with out checking to see if you had another source for this information

thanks
Tom

Thank you for the information you provided.

I added your contribution to her memorial.

Are you family to her and are you interested in taking over her memorial?

How interesting! Frances Dewitt was my great-aunt. My grandmother was her sister Louise Gardner whom married Harold Squier. What type of information on the mill are you looking for?

I can accept PDF files at familyresearch@themirros.com

I'm converting our images to JPGs. After that I'll upload them to our website and make them available for download. I'll send you the URL.

I haven't uploaded anything to Find-a-Grave. New to the site. I will try to understand howand then hopefully, some of our work will add to info base.

If you send me your email address at the above it will be easier to communicate.

Ken,
We have been traveling and I'm not sure you got my original reply. First, thank you for offering to share your work. You can send the file to familyresearch@themirros.com.
Also, we have taken numerous photos at the Mt. Marion, NY graveyard where Capt. John L. DeWitt is buried. We did this after cleaning up the area and uncovering some headstones. Let me know if you want any of these photos.

Photos
When I re-read my email to you I noticed I forgot to say I would be happy to share all the "photos" of the headstones.

While we were there we actually uncovered several headstones that had fallen over and were buried.

Ken,

Thank you for your generosity. The family appreciates it. Here's the email address you can use to send the PDF of the DeWitt document.

familyresearch@themirros.com

Several years ago we visited the graveyard where John L. DeWitt is buried, along with many of his relatives. (Anna Marie, Simeon, Clinton...). I would be happy to share those with you, if you're interested.

Thanks again,
John

The DeWitt Family
My wife, Linda, is a direct descendant of John L. DeWitt. I have been assisting her in researching the family. Last week we came across your work on the DeWitt family at the Kingston Reformed Church in NY State. I found it helpful in our research, but could only spend few hours with it as we were only passing through that area of the country. Is it available on line or in print? I would like to obtain a copy to complete our research on that line of her family.
Thanks,
John

RE: Martha Valentine Find A Grave
I'll check out those links. I've read the local histories, and got so much info. out of them! I wrote a letter to the family staying at the farm. The website then said that they sold produce and maple syrup. I never heard anything back from them. It would be great if the graves were marked, but they probably were not. My other 5th great grandfather, Major Theodore Woodbridge, lives close (Hamlin Road and 196, if memory serves me right), and was buried on his farm, but the location of the grave has been lost. Thank you again! Christy

Martha Valentine Find A Grave
Hello! Martha is my 5th great grandmother. Thank you for doing the find a grave for her! I was wondering if you have any documentation for her being born in England in 1775. I've been hunting for her family for some time now, and can't find anything. I only know that she and Henry Stevens got married on Long Island. Thank you! Christy Scott

Ok, thanks for letting me know that your not family. Unless you have a ton more info, I will save it for someone who is family. I know what you mean. I get pulled to different stones too and can not tell you why. But have to know more about them. Have a good day, and thanks for your help.

I have had the stones for John Parker and Tabitha Parker removed, because of the water marks and I have added my own which I think are better anyway.

Ken, I did catch the inadvertent error and thank you for alerting me to it. I've done similar things. Off into cyberspace goes something with an error and I struggle to retrieve it to no avail. I do want to thank you for posting the wonderful photograph of Stephen & Mary (Stone) Parker's homestead. I am researching the Stone line from RI.

Hi Ken,
To which part of Michigan did you move? I was born in Ann Arbor, and my Mother was born in Owosso. Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it. I just returned from California a couple of hours ago. Spent Thanksgiving there with my two older sisters and their families and my Dad. Had a great time, but am going to have to go back to work tomorrow.
Cheers,
Ben

Did you know LaCorda Bach?
Hi Ken, I saw that you had added an almost identical FindAGrave profile for my mother's grave to the one I had added. Did you know my mom, and if so, how did you know her? If not, did you add the profile due to some request made by another member? Just curious, since it was so much like the profile I had added.
Cheers,
Ben Godfrey
