I am hoping that you will consider deleting a photograph of a Bronze CSA Marker that you just posted for the individual named, above. Dawna Carlton, another contributor, just removed her photo of this same marker for me because it is INCORRECT.

There are three reasons for this request.

First, the information on the CSA Marker is incorrect for Joseph Gillespie Moore (1842-1879). While some of the info may apply to a different Joseph Moore who served and died in 1862, there was never a CO. Y. The subject Joseph Gillespie Moore did serve in an entirely different capacity in another state. His memorial has been updated by bioengineer with his correct service.

Second, if you are willing to delete the Bronze CSA Marker photo, bioengineer will be able to remove his extensive Note from the memorial which explains this marker error. Simply put, the Note adds nothing to the memory and life of Joseph Gillespie Moore and leaves the reader thinking more about the error and how it happened instead of thinking about Joseph Gillespie Moore.

Third, Joseph Gillespie Moore is my family. He died young and left no descendants. His father is my gr gr gr grandfather, Cornelius Moore also buried in the cemetery. His sister, Carolina Moore née Watkins, is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in nearby Rosebud, Texas. She is my gr gr grandmother and she raised my grandfather, Martin Watkins Anding who was her grandson and is also buried in Powers Chapel Cemetery.

I have a recent photo of Joseph Gillespie Moore's large headstone which I can email to you for upload if you want credit. I plan to remove the incorrect CSA Bronze Plaque from its base. I ordered a new Bronze Plaque with the correct information provided by bioengineer to replace the incorrect plaque. I am able to take these steps since I have served as the Historian for the Powers Chapel Cemetery Association (a non-profit corporation) for the better part of two years. I will soon publish a book for the association, The Powers Chapel Community. If you have any connections your contributions to book are welcomed.

Your consideration of this request is very much appreciated. If I can help you with any needs please don't hesitate to contact me: pat.brannon@ymail.com

Her memorial was created based on information derived from her death certificate and the Texas death index. Her d/c states that burial was in Eddy Cemetery (Falls County, TX) Her brother and parents are also buried in Falls County, albeit in different cemeteries. I am not related so I have no further insight or info. The only possible explanation I can think of is perhaps she was reinterred to the other cemetery. That's presuming both memorials are for the same person of course. And presuming my theory is correct about reinternment. Texas

Yes, Larry, thanks but I know he's still alive. No need to add anything right now. That's why there's no date of death! I have cousins who grew up in Bruceville and due to my business know a lot of people --well almost everywhere! Thnaks and best to you, Nancy

I am impressed by your prompt responses to my edit suggestions for Mother's cousins. I remember her reminiscing over grave markers, and was shocked to find I had never helped pulled these together. Now we leave the trail for others~~~

You created a Page for this person this year 2016, but they already had a page Find A Grave Memorial# 31409444. On the first page family members are already linked together, so could you please merge the two.
