RE: Bessie Thrift
There is only one adult grave unmarked in the Thrift plot - possibly Bessie Thrift - there are several small unmarked graves in the same row. Glad to help, and let us know if there are others you would like.

Frank Sweeten photo request.
Hi,

I saw your photo request. There are very few graves in the old State Cemetery that have actual headstones and those have been photographed. The original markers were 4 X 4 stones with a number on them. The only ones still visible are located at the top where the land is flat, the entire hillside is covered with graves but at some point dirt was brought in to fill in and anyone visiting the cemetery would not know that there are graves there. It is very difficult to get information on grave locations also. I spent almost a year and a half before getting the locations of my great great grandmother's grave.

There wasn't a headstone for Mildred Inez Fullwood, but I put up a photograph which has Sherman Fullwood's marker and point out where she is in comparison.

P.S. If the Vanhooses are yours, it seems we are very distant cousins!

Hi Paula - I put up one of your requests - Sherman Fullwood, Bosque Bello Cemetery, Fernandina Beach, FL. I did not initially find Mildred Fullwood 9see 'problem' report on request. I see you have put up several Vanhoose names. I have Vanhooses in my line - did your come straight from Kentucky, or did they come via Arkansas? Mine are the latter.

Samme Templin and I completed taking the pics of all the markers in Decatur cem in the fall of 2012. There was no marker for this man found. However the cemetery record book for Meigs co shows that he is buried in this cemetery
