David,

Sadly I have no other information on these memorials. I upload cemetery registers for my county and surrounding counties.

I did locate the following small part in a local history:

From:
BEGINNING OF INDIVIDUAL COUNTIES IN INDIAN LAND.

By Thor Helgeson, 1914

Scandinavia:

Kristoffer Halvorson Riste, from Slidre, (1828-1905) & wife. Their son E. Riste has the homestead. Their other son perished by a train.

If you'd like to manage these memorials, I'd be happy to transfer them to you. You may find answers in Waupaca County, perhaps at the Register of Deeds Office.

That cemetery is located in Lamar county but you might look in Marion county for who made the memorial marker. The funeral home, Colonial, in Columbia, Marion Co -- they may be able to direct you 601 736 5361. I know Janine McQuiston and Shirley Ramshur that took the pic and added have photo'd newspaper from Marion Co and funeral home (might have more insight).

I cannot help you in this quest -- I know nothing about cemetery other than someone told me it's old - Advance Church across street is like a one-room church building. I found it, photo'd it and never put pics on. Goodluck.

I suggest you ask those who took pic/listed memorial who may be more familiar with cemetery.

Ferguson photo request
Wow! That was quick David. Thank you so very much for the nice photos and also for adding her husband. I did the math from what was inscribed on his gravestone and the date of birth would be April 13, 1830. I appreciate your time and fuel to go take it. ~Nancy
