RE: Robert Shaffer obituary
soooooo, I take it that you are not going to add the obituary that tells a little history of this persons life ie: his work ethics, military career... these people made a difference while on this earth... for those of us who diligently seek our ancestors, it would be nice to know what they did during their life!
How sad....

RE: Hovi Family
There are several people working on these families. You may add any pictures you wish to these memorials as they do not need to be transfered to do so. If you have information on any of these memorials, please, feel free to email the information and I will add it for you.

Thanks for adding the link & good to know you agree. I was recently contacted by a Hovi family researcher who lives in Norway, so have been trying to research more of this family. My connection is Kari - Memorial# 52230698 - she married a brother of my great grandfather.

RE: Edler and Melzer photos
You are very welcome. I am always glad when I can make someones day. I was lucky enough to go see my triple great grandparents grave a year ago. I would have never found it if my mom had not been there before with other relatives from that area.

I am glad I was able to find your step-grandmother. I just want you to note the small difference in the birth date on the marker compared to the memorial page.

Hi Pat
I was just visiting Find a Grave and going through all my memorials to see if I had all the pics. You had taken Vera Schneider Welk and her husband Louis Jr. Bud Welk.
Memorials 74068671 is Vera. Could you add the pic as well to Bud 74022925 if you still have? Thanks Ross.

Are you from Algoma? I'm from Luxemburg originally.

RE: Matilda Keough
Hey Pat-thanks for all your efforts. I have a copy of Matilda's death certificate which lists 4 May 1823 as her date of birth...so I'm not sure which is the correct the headstone or that document. I do really appreciate all the photos you have taken for me!

Thank you so much for taking the picture. Tyler was a good buddy of mine in high school and having his memorial complete means a lot to me. Thanks again.

RE: Tamara Laurent
Thank you, Pat! I'm fairly certain that the other Lauent is but I'm not certain where yet. The other name you mentioned (on my phone so I can't go backhand check your msg without erasing this!) may be but I'm not sure. I am not familiar with the cemetery and if it is a family plot. Either way I would live it if you could post the photos!

Thanks again! Enjoy your weekend.

Cherie

Thank you so much for taking the picture! Would you mind if I posted the tombstone picture on my genealogy blog? I would give you credit for taking it.

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much Pat for fullfilling my request. If there is anything I can do for you in Fredericksburg, VA drop me an email. Most of the request I have received on this end are for union soldiers during the Civil War. Unfortunately, 80% buried here are unknown.

We didn't go; we kept yours in there, and "unclaimed" it. We were running short on time and sunshine; the shadows were falling.

RE: Josephine Florence Oothoudt Smith
We're in Door Co. as I write this. I looked up Otis and Josephine, but only saw the stone for Otis. I didn't see Josephine on the photo you took. We'll go out there, anyway, on our way back, and check out "the lay of the land", so to speak. We've never been to that cemetery, so this will be an adventure!

As for the photo request: We just made it last night, so you wouldn't have seen it before you went out there. Your photos are good; if I take any, myself, I'll just add mine to yours (in the memorial), then that person will have even more! :) I've done that, before-added my 2 cents' worth (photo) onto a memorial that already had photos in it. That's due to taking photos of each person in a family plot and not noting, before, who already had photos! (Moan; hand to forhead). It happens.
