RE: Culler family, Bethel, MO
Hi cousin Courtney!!

You don't no me, but I do no of you. Your dad and a talked a few year ago. I did the history on our Culler family. Your 3rd great-grandfather was John Culler, Jr., born October 15, 1816 in Pennsylvania, and died July 30, 1902 in Shelby County, Missouri. He was a brother to my 2nd great-grandfather, David Culler, born March 18, 1818. Your 3rd great-grandfather, came to Ohio, at the age of 3 years in 1819, with his parents, John Sr. & Anna (Hiestand) Culler. Your 4th great-grandparents, John & Anna (Hiestand) Culler, settled first in Columbiana County, Ohio, before buying what is known as the old Culler homestead, in Stark County, Ohio in 1828. I work only 3 miles from the original Culler farm, where John & Anna (Hiestand)Culler are buried. Your 3rd great-grandfather married Lucinda "Lucy Ann" Webb, March 19, 1835 in Beaver Twp., Mahoning County, Ohio. In the year of 1845, your 3rd great-grandfather, with another brother, uncle Jacob Culler, left Ohio for Missouri. There are many of his decedants around Shelby and Adair County, but none with the Culler last name. Jacob Culler have a large family, only two sons, August and William Culler, had families to carry the Culler last name, but they all were girls so the Culler name in that line is no more. Many of our distant Culler relation are in almost every state in the union now. Well I will let you go for now, oh by the way your dad was going to round up some photo's of the different Culler's he has, and make copies for me, but I never got back with him. If you could do this for me , so I can add the photo's in to my Culler Family History Book, I would love to have them. I had many photo's of the Culler's, to me it brings the people alive that you are researching, and make it more personal to see that person. Well I will talk later, take Care, Richard Paul Culler
