RE: Johnny McCauley
If you will search for Tera Eola Larkins you should find my McCaffrey/Loggins Tree. Her dates are Birth 6 Jan 1863 in Humphreys County, Tennessee, USA Death 16 February 1930 in Yorkville, Gibson, Tennessee, USA. Great Grandma Tera Eola had a one of a kind name. I don't know where to search with the name. Once you get there you can search anyone with the box.

RE: Johnny McCauley
I do have a tree on line at Ancestry. I also have been linked through DNA to John McCauley and his wife Mary "Polly" Moore. John McCauley's father was William McCauley. He and his brother, Mathew McCauley are both recognized DAR Patriots. William served in the Orange County, NC legislature and Mathew was a Captain of the Orange County Militia. Both men are part of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

McCauley, Sr and would love to know where you found it and I would like to contact the family for possibly more pictures. Also am looking for the grave of B.F. McCauley, Jr. Looks like you may be looking as well or it would be posted. Am married to a McCauley of Pike County and love genealogy. Having a great time with it. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Carolina Cemetery
In a recent trip to the "Thomas Reunion" in Madden, Ms, I visited Carolina Cemetery. I took time to take a few pictures and posted them. I am not sure, if I added any Hays photos. I also added pictures to memorials at the Madden Cemetery in Leake County. Hopefully, I can return later this year to fully photo both cemeteries.

You might double check some of your memorials to see if I added any photos?

If you are also a Thomas descendant, please contact me at my email address.

Thanks, CBD

RE: RE:
Hey
That would be great if you could check. A long time ago I poked around WalnutGrove but could find nothing. It would make more sense that Martha would be buried in Neshoba than W.G as it seems she and William A Hobbs were not together at the times of her death. He had moved to Hinds Co and died there in 1879 and is buried next to his daughter in law Bettie Wyatt. She died in childbirth and he may have died of yellow fever. Bad outbreak that year.

Third cousins, huh. I'll take it!

RE: musicians
Hey

I hope your new business is going well. That seems like a scary deal; to start one up!

Yes, we have a pile of musicians in my family. All of my family plus a couple of cousins. Four of us play for a living and a I am also an adjunct faculty member in music at two different colleges.

One of my best friends from college is the current head of the instrumental music department at Ole Miss. His name is Charles Gates and he is also the trumpet teacher.

I am still stumped as to where Sarah Hobbs Hays' mother is buried (Martha Wills Coleman Hobbs (1821-1883). She died living with Sarah and George Hays but was reportedly buried in Walnut Grove. I have never seen anything to disprove that. My great uncle wrote a letter about her and said she was in Walnut Grove. He actually knew George and Sarah well. He was Gamble Austin Hobbs (1877-1950)

I did get some pics from you. The one of the five boys and the three girls. Are there others? I have the pic of George and Sarah in their later years. I also have a copy of the DAR application using Benjamin Hobbs as a reference.

Thanks and I hope the "biz" is going well!

Ezekiel McCauley's Parents
Hi. I am a descendent of Ezekiel's brother Samuel and have been trying to firm up a few questions about their parents. I would especially like to have your sources for John McCauley Sr's birthplace of Antrim, Ireland and for Mary's last name of Jackson. Some sources state that John McCauley Sr was born in NC, and there is some disagreement as to Mary's last name. I would be happy to give you any information that would be helpful to you as well. Thanks so much for your work already made available on findagrave.

Thanks for the response. I've sent an email, it probably takes a long time for them to respond. I also posted a public message the other day on his profile in hopes that someone is monitoring it. Thanks again, much appreciated! Wish me luck!

I'm sure those McCauleys will be happier now that I moved them to where they are.

Thanks for the heads up on the subtleties of cemetery names.
