Regarding this man. I think my notes say he is buried at Glenridge. Do you know what cemeteries are in that town?

Josiah, Phebe and Theodore Dodd
I am amazed that you found Josiah and especially his wife Phebe. Her stone is in better shape then I would have imagined being she died in 1843. It was sad to see that Josiah's did not fair as well. Thank you so much for looking for them and photographing there graves. I appreciate it very much.

Thank you
Thank you so much for finding and posting the grave stones for the Davis' for me. It is a very nice thing to do for those of us who can't travel and get them on our own.

Thanks again.

Dodd
LOL....I know. They basically founded the town. The Dodd's were one of the first to settle in Newark and they branched out to surrounding areas. My 3rd Grandfather was one of very few who left and moved to Philadelphia. All of those in Bloomfeld cemetery are in the same family tree. I really do want to get up there someday. will take a look to see who is in my line and let you know the names.
Thanks, Terry

Change made. Next time you have a suggestion for a find a grave record, use the Edit link in the upper right. Some things you can submit yourselves while others take a message like you made. But, the email includes link to the desired page and the changes are easier to make.

Hi Keith! I added a memorial page for George B Milliken as I did not find one for him. I borrowed the headstone picture of his wife, Alice Black Milliken but added your credit in the caption! If this is not to your liking, go ahead and add your picture to George's page and I'll remove the one I posted that I got from you. If it is OK, then just leave it. I'll be adding more from the Milliken line as I go along! George is the grandfather of my uncle Albert Milliken! Just branching out my tree! Merry Christmas!

I am Rosenboom kin
Hi Keith,

We are cousins from NJ. My family grew up in Glen Rock and Ridgewood.

My great great grandparents were:

  Lambertus Rosenboom (1825 - 1907)
Margrita Catharina Van Der Wel Rosenboom (1829 - 1904)

daughter "Ida Cronk, birth name Hermanna Klein Rosenboom
Birth:  1861
Death:  1956
Burial:
Valleau Cemetery
Ridgewood
Bergen County
New Jersey, USA

Ida married in First Church of Holland, Midland Park, NJ to

Leonard Cronk, birthname, Leendert Kraak
Birth:  1860, Rilland Bath, Zeeland, Netherlands
Death:  1939

Burial:
Valleau Cemetery
Ridgewood
Bergen County
New Jersey, USA

Ida and Leonard are my great grandparents.

I have been looking for Leonard Cronk's parents graves for years.

John and Maria Cronk, birth names Adriaan Kraak and Maria de Witt, came from Zeeland in 1868. Lived in Washington TWP. Maybe someone can help.

Nice meeting you. I have Ida's Dutch Bible with a few family entries.

Yours,
Martha.

Thank you
When I Heard Sandy was going to visit you I didn't think you would have a chance to get any photos. Thank you. I Hope it didn't hit your area too bad. Are all 4 headstones on the same monolith? It looks like the same picture.

Kooistra family
Dear keith,
I wanted to let you know that I was thrilled to find Martin Kooistra's gravestone and even the gravestones of (some of) his descendants. You included even a photograph of Martin John Kooistra and his wife. My name is Piter van der Woude, I live in The Netherlands. I have good reasons to believe that my family is related to Martin Jan Kooistra who left my country in 1892. If you happen to have names/emailaddress of one or more descendants of Martin Kooistra I would be most grateful to receive these so that I could contact these people. Thanks again. Piter
