Ruth Mason Buck
May I ask that Ruth be moved to "Burial Unknown" until correct the cemetery is located? I walked Blandford Cemetery in Sept, and another contributor photoed and videoed the cemetery a month ago. No new burial activity for many many years.

Ruth Mason Buck
Your recent memorial for Ruth who died in Iowa. Could you check for the correct cemetery, as Blandford Cemetery in Blandford, MA does not take recent burials. The last burial was 1943 by special permission. Thank you.

wrong cemetery
A list of people in the wrong Highland cemetery was published by Waterloo Genealogy society, In fact it was the second posting in order to get the record corrected.
I happened to be documenting my hometown Highland Cemetery and came across the list.
I took each name individually because some of the names on the list did not belong in What Cheer Highland Cemetery. Over 100 entries thus over 100 precise corrections.
I am documenting and photographing What Cheer Highland Cemetery in coordination with the cemetery officials.
I will not add photos to the entries which were posted in the wrong cemetery for years and then dumped on contributors in the correct cemetery, expecting them to delete theirs.

yes I made an error but started correcting as soon as Kathryn let me know but she sent me over 150 emails which I spent all day yesterday and today trying to correct -- if she would look she can see i am deleting actual duplicates but I am also xfrng memorials to individuals that have information linked on their memorials I don't know what else to do to make ms. Maxwell happy

Added by Shirley on Nov 26, 2014 11:45 AM

Kathryn Maxwell
I refuse to put any photos on Shirley's entries.
She entered many people in the wrong cemetery years ago and when it was called to her attention she dumped her entries (about 100)in the correct cemetery knowing that other contributors had already created memorials. You do what you want with the memorial that you created. I will leave the photo on yours but not hers.

John Watts
RE: Pearl Height Elliott
I, too, am a family genealogist. I am 70 years old and began family research in 1956 when my dads mother passed away.

All of the Bissetts, Drumms, Heights, and Watts families in Keokuk, Mahaska, and Poweshiek Counties are part of my fammily and research.

I came across this web site a week or so ago and began posting photographs that I spent my life collecting.

I have donated early copies of my trees to the society's there in Iowa, but have since added much more.

I currently have a data base of 125,0915 family members which include both my side of the family and my wife's Evans side.

Since I knew your name was not one that I had come across and since Pearl and Gib did not have any children, I wanted to know your connection for the flowers you left on that site.

RE: Thomas Hotchkiss
I know from family Bible records and family stores that Thomas Hotchkiss was buried i Wheatland Co., New York, however, I have been unable to discover in which cemetery or where. His wife, Lucy
( Stinoff ) Hotchkiss moved to Hastings, Barry County, Michigan with her son , James W. Hotchkiss. Her daughter Sarah had married a Nicholas Groce, they divorced and Sarah also moved to Hastings, Barry County, Michigan where she met and married Samuel Law. Sarah and Samuel moved to Iowa and are buried at Hazlewood Cemetery in Grinnell, Iowa. Lucy died in Hastings, Barry County, Michigan Feb. 22, 1875 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery there. James and his wife, Cynthia Tent`Hotchkiss divorced and Cynthia is buried in Highland View Cemetery in Mecosta, Michigan. After Cynthia`s death, James moved to Grinnell, Iowa, where he is as well buried. However, Hazlewood cemetery states they cannot find any records of James being buried there, yet the mi8litary sent his headstone here. If you need or want further information, please feel free to contact me.

Please see memorial 74783299. I believe this is the same person HOWEVER I have him buried in a different cemetery. Even though my memorial was created first, I am willing to delete it since the other one has so much linked to it BUT we should make sure he is listed in the correct cemetery. Thanks - None to be Fogotten

William Carroll Warren
I think we do have the same William C Warren..Please review the following information, I can provide documents if required. I think you will come to the same conclusion.

William Carroll Warren was my great great great grandfather. According to 1850 and 1870 federal census reports he was born in Tennessee about 1821. The date of birth is also documented in his service records.
William married Cornelia Lenard Ayers in 1845 in Morgan County, Illinois. He moved his family to Iowa in 1852.

Their children follow:

Mary Louisa Warren (my line) 1850 FCR

Julia Abigail Warren 1850 FCR

Cornelia Ellen Warren 1850 FCR
1852 1913

James Monroe Warren 1870 FCR
1855 1936

Margaret Helen Warren 1870 FCR

Carroll Sylvester Warren 1870 FCR

I have documents supporting these relationships and the marriage of each child (so on and so forth).

William Carroll Warren enlisted in Company G, Iowa 22nd Infantry on August 26, 1862 and mustered out on 10 Jan 1864 at Davenport, Iowa.

William C Warren applied for invalid pension 29 Feb 1864.

Widow's pension was applied for by Cornelia L Warren in 1885 after William's death.

Please let me know if you need any additional assistance.

Best Regards, Cheri Holsinger-Brown
