|Henry Holmes||re Jacob H Rodrick|
Jacob's daughter Minnie was the wife of my g grandfather Henry B Holmes Sr. The first Holmes plot at Stonewall Jackson cemetery is just a few footsteps away from the Rodrick's. I read the bio info you posted regarding Jacob. I have heard anecdotally that Jacob was a courier for Stonewall Jackson. Do you know if that is fact or fiction?

Thank you for the information. The Beale's I am looking for were from Southampton County, I was told but have found no information on them there. Will continue to look. Maybe some day I will find that connection. Thanks!

|Rhonda Cowan||Beale Family|
Hi. I am researching the Beale family and am hoping that maybe you can help me. I see you posted a picture of Anny Martha Beale, do you know who her parents were? I am looking for a link to John Lafayette Beale born 12/05/1823 and died 06/08/1889. I was hoping maybe he was her grandfather or uncle, some kind of link. thanks for posting on Find A Grave! Rhonda Cowan.

Linked to his father...thanks.
Please remove the obit from the flowers section. According to F.A.G. rules it is not to be placed there. If you send it to me I will be happy to place it in the "bio" sectioin. Thanks.

|Robin Johnson||Samual Tall Beale (1872-1935) #90297192|
Kitty, Samual's middle name is Tall,not Thomas. I went to Southampton County seat in Courtland too verify Samual's middle, Could not verify Samual Sr. middle because he alway used "T", but his son, Samual Jr I could Verify that his middle is "Tall". It's a document Samual's wife (Clarice)filed for administratrix of his estate,where she spells out his name as "Samuel Tall Beale Jr." upon his death in Feb of 1954. If you need a copy of the document let me know. Rob Johnson

|Topotraveler||Grayson Garris Grave|
I went back today for 1.5 hrs looking for Grayson the town fella's were cutting the grass, they told me to go to the water dept, they have a listing of grave locations, welllll, they do, by PURCHASER of the plot, then sometimes, the descedants name is listed as buried in the plot. Anyway you can find out who might have purchased the plot for Grayson, then I can go back and they can tell me what plot he's in.. (this cemtery is about 1800 graves, I drove and walked looking for a flat marker and a raised marker I cant find his marker. Usually the person who was the "informant" of the death if a family member might have been the purchaser or a daughter with a diffrent last name by marriage maybe?..I will be glad to go back if you can check with family and find out who likely bought the plot for Grayson. In time I will finish cataloging this cemtery but it's large.
please email me back

|Carl Weaver||RE: Holmes family in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery|
I posted the 10 footstones in the Holmes family plot. Henry 1892-1976 and Henry 1921-1964 are not in the same plot. Only Henry Sr is there and his photo has been posted. I will have to find the other two for you.
