RE: George Knox
I'm so confused. I do have two George Knoxs buried in two separate Knox cemeteries, but Elizabeth is with neither one, as far as I have found. There are different dates on the two headstones I have found for George. I just have to sort them out.

RE: Cornett Hill Cemetery
As I said, the Cornett Hill info was second hand with no source. I have been to the Knox Cemetery where George W is buried but when I didn't find her headstone, I thought there might be some truth to the info about her being buried somewhere else.

Can I see your documentations that shows George and Elizabeth being buried in a different cemetery. I have not been able to find out where Elizabeth Centers Knox was buried. R, Franz

RE: George W. Knox
There are 2 George W. Knox. My George Knox was buried on property that is still owned by relatives. My First Cousin Steve Carroll took the picture.

The VA paid for George W. Knox's head stone. He was a civil war vet.

Cornett Hill Cemetery
I have second-hand information that my 2nd great-grandmother, Elizabeth Centers Knox, is buried here, but I have no definitive proof. If you have opportunity, would you please check for me, and, if there is a headstone, please get a picture?
She was born around 1848 in KY. I believe her husband, George W. Knox, is buried elsewhere.

Thank you so much!

Green Combs
Sandra, I did find Green Combs in his son's (Curby) Combs memorial--but, what I did NOT find was who Green's parents were.
I was ashamed to ask Ronda Jo for information AGAIN, so I thought maybe you could help me out...
I didn't even know about Defiance Cemetery. She was working in that area and had made memorials for the Combses there is why I asked her. Then after I told her I had found Green, I hated to write her again and say that I hadn't found the information I wanted--after telling her I HAD FOUND HIM. What messes I get myself into!!! If you could help me, I would sure appreciate it.
Do you ever talk to Reba June Combs Jackson? I would sure like it if she gave you more information on her family. I think I've got a very old picture of Edna I'd like you to put into her memorial, if you think it suitable. It is a snapshot I took when we were leaving church after my grandfather's Sunday service.

RE: Stacy Cemetery, Dwarf, Ky.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work in Perry Co and the surrounding areas. I know it is not easy. I've had my share of ant bites, sunburn, poison and back aches. Bless you for all you do, and if you're a mom, Happy Mother's Day!

Wow! That explains a few things and I will correct my family tree and see where it takes me then. I found him as Alfred first, then found him as Andrew and then thought Odd ... IF I have any questions will holler, thank you for all your help, and your contribution to Find A Grave.

Unfortunately I don't have permission to make the changes to the cemetery information. We will have to depend on Find A Grave to do so. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

RE: Garrett Feltner 118880197
It was a link to a picture of a typed document. I'm typing out what it says:

ROSE ANNA HOWARD, b. 1838, Kentucky; m. (1) CHARLES WOOTON; m. (2) ADAM FELTNER, February 14, 1856, Perry Co. Ky; b. 1817, Perry Co. Kentucky; d. October 12, 1886.

I found this information about Rosanna on the Perry Co. Ky Query Forum:

It reads as follows:
I have been researching the Feltner Genealogy family line concerning Adam Feltner, Sr. My stepfather is a 4th descendant to him. In the listing of Adam's children with one of his wives, Lucinda, you listed Garrett, as being his own child. This has been going on for a long time as to whom Garrett's natural parents were. They were Charles Wooton and Rose Ann Howard. Adam Feltner was a close neighbor and a good friend of them, and also a farmer.

Charles had more children than he could handle and by whatever arrangement, had Adam to raise Garrett, along with two other siblings. Garrett, later took on the Feltner surname.

Later, Rose Ann Howard had either divorced Charles Wooton, or he died, for she later married Adam Feltner, the man who raised three of her children.

I am only assuming that this Rosanna Howard is a sister To Garrett Esom Howard at this time. But she named her son Garrett and the dates of birth of this Rosanna and the one in the posting are close.

Adam lived next door to Rose Anne and her first husband. Adam raised Rosanne's son Garrett and two other siblings. Adam later married Garrett's mother.

Linnie Merrill
Sandy, This is Doris Bowling. I hadn't been on this site in a while until a few weeks ago. I have started adding all the info on the Merrill and Bowling families that I have. Have you heard from June Anderson Sipos lately. I am trying to add info to Linnie's grave and can't do so. Since she was my mom's sister and we knew her personally, would it be possible to have her transferred to me? Thanks Doris

RE: Garrett Feltner 118880197
Is there a record that states Garrett was born in 1863? Perry Census McIntosh Dist has Garrett's age as 9 years old. This would mean he was born in 1861. What are your thoughts? I am a direct descendant of Garrett. Knowing the truth means the world to me. Thank you for your time.

I can't give you any physical proof to who Garrett's actual father was. Conrad Feltner, author of the Feltner Family book stated that Garrett was actually the child of Charles Wooton and Adam's wife, Rosannah Howard Feltner. Garrett was born in 1863 when his father was away in the Civil War. I don't know what happened to Rosannah but Adam remarried a fourth time on 10-6-1866 and Garrett was raised as Garrett Feltner.
