I would like to download your photo of this man for a memorial being displayed at his high school. Could I have your permission or let me know where it came from? Did you know him? His memorial is NO. 17532765. Thank you.

RE: James Everrett Bell
The quick turn around was because I already had the photo from 2012. It was posted to a previous memorial. Looking into what happened to the memorial. I placed the other photo which explains that his body was never recovered. All M+(number), M+(letter) sections in the national cemeteries are reserved for cenotaphs only and the inscription "IN MEMORY OF" at the top of a VA marker in any cemetery also indicates no ashes buried.

Cmdr. Robert Edward Dolan
Tom,
I am volunteering to photograph Cmdr. Dolan's gravestone, but did not find his grave at the Naval Academy Cemetery. So I called the cemetery manager and she has no record of the Cmdr. being buried there. Is it possible that his name is not spelled correctly or that he is buried in another cemetery? Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
Wayne

Hey Tom, I took the M1C off ... I can't change it any other way since Find A Grave doesn't allow the rank change unless they have it listed which they don't .... His bio was changed a while back. :-)

I have updated Ramey's memorial page, 63283191. Thank you for the information. He was a grade ahead of me at Lawton High School. It is so tragic what happened to him.

Hi Tom, I don't have a choice in changing this since the AMERICAN BATTLE MONUMENTS COMMISSION has him listed as a Machinist, First Class, U.S. Navy. If you can get them to change it then I can change it on his record. They do accept changes by the war.

They have given me permission to update their records on Find A Grave but I have to follow what they have .... or they might stop me from updating the records on Find A Grave (and they have let me do thousands already). There site for changes is at:

http://www.abmc.gov

If they change it please let me know and I'll gladly change it for him.

Respectfully,
Russ Pickett

Death location was entered as Quang Nam Province (see body of text) .,.for some reason for the past several months Find A Grave has been auto changing all drop down menu entries for Quang Nam to Tam Ky which is incorrect. Also Tam Ky was is not a Province but a town in the former Quang Tin Province which now has been merged into Quang Nam Province.
