I added a new marker photo to the memorial and deleted the old one. It was my photo so the system let me. Glad to be able to help. Lin

I'll gladly do it. I plan on going some time next week. If the plate isn't on yet, I'll let you know so you can get in touch with cemetery.

RE: emma maude kendall thomas
Hi Wayne,

I went to the online database for Green Bower Cemetery which is at:

http://www.gardner-ma.gov/Pages/GardnerMA_BComm/Cemetery/plot

She is listed under Emma Thomas and it gives a year of 1950 for the death. However, as you can see by the photo of the stone there is no date on it. Generally speaking, I have found the Green Bower list to be pretty reliable for dates but it could always be in error. Occasionally I'll find the year to be off by one year so if you're having trouble finding a record in Gardner for 1950 try looking in late 1949.

Thank you
Thank you so much for going and looking for the Patterson gravestones - I really appreciate it. I put a note on the memorial so no one will ask again. Please also thank the office for me!

Thank you for your time in taking this photo. But would you remove the one with the angel? No need for two photos that are basically exactly alike. I'd appreciate it.

The springtime is probably the best time of the year for Sacramento. I have family buried in Twin Falls Cemetery that I hope to visit one day. Thank you for answering my inquiry. Lin

I'll gladly transfer her memorial to you. As for Paul, I already transferred his memorial to you so you don't need to do another memorial for him. BTW, is Norma going to be buried in Sacramento with Paul?

RE: Almond H, Abby & Emerson Coleman
Thank you for this. 3 questions - 1. You indicate Almond H. dod is 8/16 but the stone seems clear it is 8/13. Should I note the conflict in the record? 2. Emerson is spelled with an 'O' on the monument - do you feel it was just a misspelling on the part of the monument maker and therefore I should note the actual spelling in the memorial? 3. on Almond H. stone is mention of an infant son and the date May 15, 184? I've added a memorial for this child. Have you come across anything additional on him? Could be 1847.

Thank you.

I'll see what I can do. I may have to tackle it a little later in the week, though. I printed out your message so I won't forget to do it.

Hi Wayne,

Not everyone has a stone but many get buried too, especially the flat ones and it doesn't take long. Since you went to that lot you would have seen their stones if there were any. I am unfamiliar with the layout of the cemetery and don't have a map to go by to find the lot. If you have a good way of directing me there then I could go take another look for you. I know you can view the cemetery on googlemaps. Maybe that would be a good way to do it or at least narrow down my search area.

William and Laura's names were both on the online list for Crystal Lake Cemetery as being in that lot and that is why I created the memorials. If you find out otherwise then let me know.

Thank you, I've added his birth/death information and linked him to his wives. I cannot link to his and Abigail's son as I do not manage that memorial. I will add to his bio that Lucius is his son and the memorial number.

RE: Collinson Grave Site
Wayne

Thanks for contacting me. I also had the message from LSP, and it is now deleted.

The owner DID allow access for the gravestone transcriptions to be recorded by my contact. They also maintain the cemetery. It took 7 years to locate this cemetery. Not everyone is interested in having a photo of their private property online. That has to be respected.

If LSP will learn the word patience, she might see a photo. I am beginning to wish that I did not put it online until the photos were obtained Good things come to those who wait, :)

She is fortunate to have the transcriptions, some early cemeteries will not ever be documented.
My database includes at least 10 that have no photos and cannot be located.

Take care Wayne. I will keep you posted. And.....thank you for your continued interest in this cemetery.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks so much for keeping me updated on seeking the Collinson markers. I appreciate your attempts in locating them and am sad you haven't been able to receive permission to be on their land to view the gravestones.

I just noticed on the MD Dept of Labor, Licensing & Regulation page online at http://www.dllr.state.md.us/license/cem/cemfaqs.shtml it says about private property cemeteries: 1. Who may request access to a burial site on private property for purposes of restoring, maintaining, or viewing the burial site? A person who is related by blood or marriage or who has a cultural affiliation with a person interred in a burial site may request that the owner of the burial site or of the land encompassing a burial site grant reasonable access to the burial site for purposes of restoring, maintaining, or viewing the burial site.

Hope this helps and thanks again,

Nothing new, and it is still doubtful at this point. The source who obtained the information is still checking. We feel that she was lucky to even be able to get the transcriptions. :)

Thanks for checking.

Hi Wayne,

I guess the same thing happened for Eda' children
Roxa (96395769-mine, 90738766-Kim's) and Mary (96395925-mine, 90738765-Kim's) so I'll do the same for those.

RE: Eda Ann (Coleman) Pierce
Hi Wayne,

I think the one in Green Bower is merely a memorial while the one in Hubbardston (90738767) is the correct memorial for her burial place. In fact, the picture you uploaded to my memorial (96391390) belongs on the older memorial as that stone is not in Green Bower.

I have run into a couple of these cases and I have tended to keep both but make note of the fact that the person is actually buried elsewhere. I will do that here and make a link to Kim's memorial.
