Mahala DeHart
I recently posted a message on Genforum that responded to a post you added last year with regard to John W. DeHart and spouse Mahala. Suffice it to say that John W. DeHart was not married to Mahala Shelor, but rather to his 2nd cousin Mahala DeHart. This is substantiated by their 1865 marriage record which also shows her parents as Elijah J. and Rebecca DeHart. Her mother Rebecca was Rebecca McAlexander. Elijah J DeHart (father of Mahala DeHart) and Elijah H. Dehart (father of John W. DeHart) were both grand sons of Aaron DeHart, the Virginia progenitor.

Mahala Shelor, on the other hand, was married to Jonathan E. DeHart who was killed in the Civil War and then in 1866 she married James Lawson and had lots of kids. This Mahala passed away in 1920.

Ora Whitworth Ferguson
You ask that I put C A and Sara Whitworth as parents of Ora. I have searched for them on Find A Grave with no luck. If you will send me the memorial numbers for C A and Sara I will be glad to add them as parents of Ora. Thanks, Richard Ferguson

Whitworth Burial Grounds
I was in that area several years ago arriving late in the afternoon.I went to the store in Painseville. The man who owned the store old me he could take me there but it was too late to go and I was leaving town the next morning. He said it was down by some mill. I would love to know also.I gave him my e address and he was supposed to write to me but you know how that goes.No word. Charlene

Whitworth Cemetery
The Cemetery is located at the top of a hill, on private property, on the land originally owned by Samuel Whitworth, granted to him in Land Grants issued in the mid to late 1830's.

It is approximately 3 miles south of Pacific, Missouri, off of Highway "O", at the end of Phalen Road, which is west of Highway "O".

Hi,
I do have information on her, however there are some discrepancies on the census records. I would be happy to send what I know to your email.
Ok?
