William H. Vickers, Jr.
Hello.
Just fulfilled your photo request for William H. Vickers, Jr. at Bay Pines National Cemetery. I saw your note asking if there was a spouse next to him. If there had been a spouse, her name would be on the same stone as his. In this section of the cemetery spouses share headstones. (The plots are small, only large enough for cremains, not caskets). When the first spouse passes, the stone only shows one name. When the 2nd spouse passes, the stone is removed and a new stone is created with both names. So, either Mr. Vickers' spouse is still living, or was buried elsewhere, or he wasn't married.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
John

William Vickers grave
Hi,
I took the photo's of William's grave. There was nothing on the other side of his headstone, but did take another shot of the area around his grave.
I hope that will be okay?

Thanks,
CJS

RE: Photo
Of course! It's one of the loveliest grave markers I've ever seen. The first photo uploaded sideways, but I corrected it. Sorry if you saw it that way.

Thanks,
Heather

Darryl - thought I had these entrees marked as unmarked but see I didn't -think it is safe to say that their graves aren't marked since no one has ever found them -had strong suspicion that they might be in Mt Paron but no proof - went back and looked at my data base on Margaret since I am a Tucker descendent too and noted that I have a full date of death on her - that came from the Georgia Death Index which means there is a death certificate on file for her which would tell you where she is buried - In Georgia you can get a death certificate from any health department office anywhere in Georgia as long as the certificate you are looking for is filed somewhere in Georgia but death certificates in Georgia also cost $25 dollars which I think is ridiculous. I changed my findagrave entrees on Margaret and Andrew to burial unknown until we know more -

I've added a few more photos of Vickers' headstones to the site. I've still got one or two more which I'll add over the next day or two. Perhaps something there will be useful to you. Good luck!

Here is the transcription for the 4 members of the Vickers family named on the headstone:

In memory of George Vickers, who died July 16th 1814 aged 70 years.

Also Elizabeth Vickers, wife of the above, who died December 10th 1825 aged 87 years.

In memory of Mary Vickers who died June 18th 1824 aged 50 years.

How lov'd how valu'd once, avail thee not
To whom related or by whom begot,
A heap of dust alone remains of thee,
Tis all thou art and all the Proud shall be.

Also Hannah Ann, daughter of George and Catherine Vickers who died February 24th 1820 aged 14 years.

Regards, Daniel

RE: Dr Fred Clements 113941282
He was also my Dr and a cousin. I have made the connetions and added your info, and I will be happy to transfer his memorial. He div Ann late in life and in the 80's married a Giddens lady who was much younger then he was. It caused a lot of tongue waggling, but I can not think of her 1st name right now.
