Location of Cemetery
Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery is located in Simpsonville, Greenville County, SC. You can find the cemetery in Find a Grave Cemetery Lookup. I also found it on Google maps and saw it by the satellite view. Most of the Brockman Family buried there have pictures of their grave markers. Interesting enough John, JR and Amelia have their children listed on the back of their marker.

Sandy Smith-Hitt
Kolb connections
Hi, I'm new to all this and first want to thank you for helping me find my family's lost past. We are probably related somehow through the Kolbs in Lowndes County,MS. I'm desperately trying to find someone who can take me to the Kolb Family Cemetery . My father would like to see the graves of his Conn relations . I believe that his great grandfather and great grandmother were the last family members to be interred in that location. James Madison Conn .
The few pictures I've found on Find A Grave are all we have right now, and If I understand policy, I have to get permission to copy any of them.
Is there any chance you can help?

Edwin N. Canady
While searching for another person in Forest Hill we uncovered Edwin Canady headstone buried in Section 4, against the fence. I will post the picture, it also had a photo of him that was remarkably clear given the age. I would like to give you the site.

RE: Nancy Bluford
Thank you Nancy. I just very recently discovered that this branch of my family existed. Apparently John Dyer is my 7th-great grandfather. I'll keep looking for more definitive information on the distant past relatives but, as you've probably found, the farther back you go, the more difficult it is to get really certain proof of anything--lots of similar names, and it's pretty easy to get families and generations confused. In another part of my family history, I have found that a lot of people on have my great-great grandfather married to his daughter-in law.

This Sarah Buttram can not be the wife of Harmon Buttram. Death notice states that she was born about 1844 and died 13 Oct 1936. All census states that she was born in 1842. PLEASE try again. Shermaine Jiles

RE: Rascal My Cat
Actually not but I know what you are speaking of. We probably have more cats than I care to admit to due to my years working with an animal rescue group. And so it goes....

I don't have a picture. Fours and ones do seem to get mis-read the most often.
I'll be glad to transfer her and any others you want from that cemetery.

RE: Baby Kristina
We were pleased to fulfill your photo request for:
Kristina Jordan Little Find A Grave Memorial# 92912499

You may wish to add the "Marker Transcription" and especially the "Add Plot" (should anyone wish to visit the grave). Since we did not create the memorial, we can't add this information ourselves. However, we have included it in the caption for the photo we added, and you can copy it from there.

Let us know if we can do anything else to help.

RE: SelmaGDyer
What I said in my Find A Grave bio is true about needing a mental occupation when my husband went off to a war zone nearly ten years ago. Since I learned really good searching methods since then, I just keep using them...doesn't usually take much time, but then I do get frustrated and delve deeper if the answer is not forthcoming ~ :B-D ~ better than most other kinds of brain puzzles because it's permanently useful.

I cannot find your memorial for him by searching, but California death records have his date of birth as 11 Dec 1913.

RE: Unie Belle Dyer
Certainly! I did also find an obit for Selma, but this is all it says, nothing about family or cemetery:
Page 69, Independent Press Telegram, January 31, 1970
You +1'd this publicly. Undo
Jan 31, 1970 (he died on the 28th)– ...DILDAY FAMILY Funeral Home ~ DYER Selma G Mr 2525 E Carson Apt 19 Service 11 Saturday Dilday Family Lakewood Chapel ...

I also found that he'd been in the military for WW2, but he's not listed as buried in a military cemetery per their online locator.

You CAN put up a memorial for him anyway and just leave the burial as "unknown."

RE: Unie Belle Dyer
This is Unie's obit:

Unie Belle Dyer, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, died Saturday, March 13, 1999. She was a native of Dekalb Co., AL, born in Albertville on September 27, 1917. Unie Belle graduated from Snead Junior College in Boaz, AL in 1939 with a degree in commerce. Unie Belle retired after 35 years of federal service as a technical editor with Kirtland Air Force Base. She was a faithful member of the Netherwood Park Church of Christ and was dedicated to helping people. Unie Belle worked for many years as supervisor and coordinator of the preschool Bible class department and as church librarian. She was Secretary/Treasurer of the National Health Federation and worked tirelessly for the National Association for Retired Federal Employees. Unie Belle will be missed by many friends. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, I-40 and San Mateo NE, with Wayne Sharp officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Children's Home

Selma died January 28, 1970; Mildred died in 1988, but I cannot locate an obit for either of them.
