RE: RE:Salem Fields
I did not know about that one; I know of a dozen and a half Salem Cemeteries in Pennsylvania. If I get down to that area of Brooklyn again, and have time to look, I'll let you know.

RE: Cypress Hills Photos
I try to avoid Staten Island at all costs (even just driving through) since it has become the worst traffic nightmare in NYC. I believe Salem Fields is in Pennsylvania, no? I don't get over that way much.

You are very welcome. If you would like any others (laying of the wreaths, Memorial Day, etc), please message me. I am happy to return. -Melissa

Yours were actually the easy ones; I spent many hours walking several sections looking for other sites to photograph. I got plenty of exercise in the two days I was there. Traffic wasn't bad because schools aren't open yet.

RE: Cypress Hills Cemetery
Hi, there. Just thought I'd let you know that I MIGHT be going to Cypress Hills Cemetery ( and Salem Fields) in the next week or two. Do you still need your photo requests fulfilled?
I have a request from someone else for a Cypress Hills grave site so figured I might do them all at the same time. He has already called the cemetery and gotten the locations of his sites for me. I must ask if you could do that as well since it would save me a great deal of time (and effort), especially if the office is crowded when I get there.
It's hard enough to find some of the grave sites so any time I can save will get me out of Brooklyn before "rush hour" begins.
Again, no guaranty I'm going but I'm considering it.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi, Eydie,
No, I'm sorry I don't personally know anything about R. Bernhard or his family. I used to take a stroll through the non-famous graves and pick a name at random, as I did with Mr. Bernhard.

I have deleted the old flowers and left new flowers for Mr. Bernhard.

Take Care,

Mary

RE: Burials in Cong. Bnai Israel Cem.
One more thought, if you look at the map on the page for Cong. Rodeph Sholom: change it to "hybrid" and zoom in so you can "see" the cemetery. Then look to the north on Kings Highway and you can see a larger cemetery that looks like it may be in two parts. Perhaps B'nai Israel now looks after the Rodeph Sholom section? I don't know, but whoever entered the King's Highway one on Findagrave, did it improperly - makes it more confusing. I will have to make a field trip.

RE: Burials in Cong. Bnai Israel Cem.
Because I had entered info for Cong.Rodeph Shalom, I was able to add additional info which may or may not help clarify things. I think the confusion is because there are two with that name. One on Arising St. and one on Kings Highway - the latter is probably adjacent to Cong. B'Nai Israel. So more confusion. Probably some entries have gone in the wrong place. If you email me directly with your photo request perhaps I can get there to take a picture for you.

RE: Interrment in Cypress Hills Cemetery
I've photographed inside mauseleums many times before and would be happy to do so again for you. It would be very helpful and eliminate time in the office if you could supply me with the exact locations before I go.
