Hattie C. (Atkinson) SMITH
Hi Amy,
I was wondering if you found the death record for Hattie? It is under Mrs. H.C. SMITH in the TX Death Index on Family Search. She died 05 MAR 1921 after giving birth to a daughter. The baby girl died the next day, 06 MAR 1921.

Hi Amy,
Took longer than I thought it would for me to get up to Dry Creek, but made it up there this morning. I just finished posting the photos I took for you. I posted them on all three memorials, which I hope you don't mind my doing.
I believe you have found your family unit. All three graves are side by side for Hattie A. Smith, Baby Smith, and Charlie H. Smith. It's like the parents wanted to protect their child even in death.
So neat!
Hope this helps you in your researching.
Gail

RE: Charlie and Hattie Smith
Hello Amy,

I tried to take pictures of all the headstones in the Dry Creek Cemetery, but I am sure I missed some.

I can check in a few days to see where your Charles and his wife are located and get back to you.

Overtons
Henry and Anna are also my 3rd great grandparents. I am able to trace him pretty easily (except where he is buried), but Anna is a whole other story. I found James with Margaret Overton in 1870. Margaret is also buried in the same cemetery as James. I have seen some trees that say they were man and wife, but I think Margaret was his daughter, perhaps. Do you know if Margaret and Anna were the same person, or sisters? Thanks for any help you can give me.

James Overton
I saw where you had left a flower for James Overton at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sunnybrook, KY. Do you know if this James Overton had a daughter named Anna that married into the Adkins (Atkins, Atkinson)? Thank you
