|George Paul Farris||James W. Mefford -FAG Memorial# 28007729|
Good morning, dear Linda:
Once again I find myself in your debt for the clear and stately looking photograph you added to the memorial of my 1C4R, James William Mefford (1863 - 1945).
If at any time you wish to revisit the strategies on the Raisor graves, that you were kind enough to suggest when first we corresponded,
I'd be if you wish to look at what might be achieved.
My best to you, and your grandchildren. I remain at your service...

Thanks so much for the photo you submitted for Loney Gatewood in the Squiresville Cemetery, Squiresville, Owen Co., KY
This was greatly appreciated. I found her death certificate and discovered she was born Feb 10, 1864 in Kentucky and died March 13, 1927 in Owen Co., KY. Her husband was Walter Gatewood.

Regarding the marker that reads "The Children: Katie, Alice, John, Watson, Ella, Elijah, Rowen and Mabel," these are the children of William Richard Morgan and Elizabeth Francis Brown Morgan. Thanks for posting, appreciate all of your work!

Thank you so much for transferring the memorials for Thomas Girley Wallace and Ellen his wife, and the other Wallace memorials in the Wallace Cemetery in Lockport. They are all related to my grandfather's family, as are all of the Wallace people in Henry County and nearby.
Again, my appreciation to you.

I pray you and your grandchildren have kept warm and happy during the polar vortex we have been experiencing.
Allow me to thank you for the extremely clear photo you captured of my cousin's headstone, which you added to her memorial profile.
God bless you for all the effort and thought you put into the important recording and preservation work you do.
I'm certain that generations, as yet unborn, will benefit from your consideration.

|Deborah Clifton||Mary Elizabeth Payne Marksberry|
Mary Elizabeth is in my family tree. I noticed the stone that is on her page, is one of Norma Turner Marksberry. Is this a relation? I was just confused as to why that stone is put on her page. Thanks for all the time you take to supply the photo requests. It is really appreciated!

|George Paul Farris||RE: Raisor|
I pray you and your family are well and that the inclement weather hasn't been too much of a burden. Let me first send my thanks for your wonderful compliment by comparing my looks to my 2GGM Delilah, I think she is quite a beauty. She was the daughter of James Harvey Raisor (1799 — 1872) and his first wife, Esther "Hettie" Shoemaker (1800 — 1840). You have her correct parents, but perhaps not the correct father for James Harvey. If you wish I can send you a pedigree, or my Raisor bloodline. Unfortunately, "Lila" disappears from the record after she was enumerated on 02 Jun 1880 in Franklinton District in Henry County during the 1880 Census. As her husband, John Quincy Mefford, remarried on 16 Jun 1897, it is presumed she died prior to then, thus freeing him to remarry. Alas, I know neither the cause or the date of her death, nor where she lies while awaiting His second coming. Before I close let me say Friday is my 33d wedding anniversary, so I'm taking my wife, Ginny on a week-end getaway. Thanks for all your help and your interest. Capitol regards, George

|NL Nuttall||Zina (Ford) Jones|
Hi, I think it's just weathering that makes it look like her stone might say Zura. Besides, if it's a u they used part of the n or r
which follows. There's a fairly long history, in family records, of
the name being listed as either Zina or, in one case, Disha. I'm
not sure which of these may or may not have originated first as
a nickname. Thanks for the photo, it looks great. I'm I correct in
assuming that the headstone is among those which are now all
gathered together in large pile at the Port Royal Cemetery and
no longer located at the specific burial site?
