RE: George Rosenberger
I have had a long-term project to identify all recipients of the Distinguished Service Cross. Part of that effort has been a review of all Army general orders in which the DSC has been awarded. I located him in War Department General Orders No. 44 dated April 2, 1919. My entry for him in my database is as follows:

ROSENBERGER, George Vlerbome Young
Private (Army Medical Service) - WW I
Unit: Medical Detachment, 311th Infantry Regiment, 78th Division (National Army)
Date and Place: September 25 and 26, 1918; near Vieville-en-Haye, France
Medal Number: 2638
Source: War Department General Orders No. 44 (April 2, 1919)
Burial: Bloomsbury Cemetery (Greenwich Township, New Jersey)
Note: He was born on September 9, 1888 in (and entered the Army from) Bloomsbury, New Jersey. He died on October 24, 1951.

I don't know if this will help you, but I hope it is of some use.

Are you Bob Coopers daugther? If so, I know your father. If there's anything else I can help you with at Hillside Cemetery please let me know.

Thanks, Kevin
