I found the stone for this indiviual. It was hard to read but I did a rubbing and found it. The only problem is that I took a photo and when I try to transfer it to the site it becomes a horozontal photo rather than a vertical. Can I e-mail it to you? You may have better luck than I had. I was so excited when I found it and really want it on the site.

Your welcome, I personally knew Carl and Ethel, they were very nuce people, ran a good hardware store that's still ran by children and grandchildren. I am glad you made a memorial to them.

Florence Welsh Wolverton
We have added a photo of the mausoleum which is the final resting place of Florence.

Also, we found she married Forest E. Wolverton, October 17, 1921, in Greenville, Michigan.

The city cemetery records show her name as Florence Wolverton.

Hope this helps!

You are right. I don't know how I missed that. When I was there I saw an aged 11 years. I couldn't make out a date, but now I can see the 1871. As for the remaining graves, I couldn't find them. I will add the photos to the right Patrick.

My pleasure!

I took the photo a couple months ago for Cemetery Hunters: Appreciation and Preservation not realising that there was a request for this particular stone. I'm just happy that I had it for you!

Edwin Coates
Hello, I saw your request for a photo of Edwin Coates 1927-1934 from Calvary Cemetery in Flint, Michigan.

I searched the cemetery, and all I could find was a tombstone for a Francis Coates. The tombstone states:

Francis Coates
Son of
Edwin Grace Coates
1927-1934

I took a photo since it was the same last name and dates, along with "Edwin", but I wanted to make sure this is what you were looking for before I posted it on the website.

Also, I could not find any other Coates located in this cemetery. I went to the office who cares for the Old Calvary Cemetery (New Calvary Cemetery manages it now), and they could not find any other Coates located in their records as well. I was informed prior to New Calvary taking over Old Calvary, there was a fire and it destroyed most of the records for Old Calvary. However, they took all the names and are going to look into both the old and new cemeteries to see if they can find any of the remaining Coates family.

Finally, I was informed there is a third Calvary Cemetery located in Genesee County, but in Mt. Morris Township (could be Flint, Mich mailing). At last resort, I will search this cemetery as well.

Please let me know if you wish for me to post the photo for Francis Coates.

Thank you.
