Valley Chapel Cemetery, Canton, Stark, Ohio
Find A Grave: 111671872 Edward Peter Fenstermaker 1900-1937
AKA Peter Edward Fenstermaker.

Your message:
Edward not in Massillon City Cemetery, check, Canton Twp. Valley Chapel Cemetery # 103, under David Fenstermaker, son of David, Section 1, near end of row 13 Thank you Dennis

Hi, I changed the cemetery location per your request. Did you actually see his headstone listed in this cemetery? The reason I ask is that David had 6 sons, two were named Edward - but we haven't found the burial for the first one (born in 1883 died prior to 1900 I think). Just because there isn't a headstone in the Massillon City Cemetery doesn't mean he isn't buried there - as not all burials still have existing headstones.

I know you aren't obligated to check with the cemetery staff - so I don't know if you did or not to see if the Edward born in 1900 was buried at either cemetery? Please advise your source. Any info is helpful:) Thanks, JMartin

RE: Emma Gibson @ North Murray Ridge Cemetery
I did find a death certificate for Emma Mary Gibson that lists her parents as Jacob FOWL & Catherine LAPP.

If you go to familysearch.org and put i Emma's name 1856-1927 you should be able to view it.

Picture of headstone for George Gonder
Would you be so kind to remove the photo that you took and posted to my memorial of George Gonder. It appears that the picture of the headstone you took and posted actually is the one that belongs to his son George Jr. Thank you very much.

RE: Re: Jackie (#47129072)
The only contact info I have right now was her ancestry trees. She's listed as isaac1730 there, but I checked my messages there and didn't have any from her. Since I only have a free account I couldn't initiate any. Do you? Maybe you could access more info than I can.

I may have an email addy somewhere, but had to change mine and don't see anything in my current box and haven't had any luck with my archives yet. If that changes I'll let you know.

Hi Dennis, I am taken aback, I hadn't realized Jackie/Isaac was gone...

We shared family info back in 2010, having connections in the Kelley and Johnson families, but I had lost track since then. I am not aware of anyone taking over since, though I would like to manage several of the memorials Jackie started. I guess we should work with findagrave? Please let me know how I can help. Lisa

You're quite welcome! I'm sure you're more closely related than I am! :) I was just taking pictures of some more graves in the same row as one that I had been looking for, so I'm glad to pass it over!

Hi Dennis,

I have made the updates that you requested, again I am not able to select Jackson Twp since it is not an option for a place of death.

Hi Dennis,

I just wanted to let you know that I have made the suggested changes you have asked me to make to the following memorial with the exception of Jackson Twp. for the place of death because the system did not have this as an option to pick from.

If you would like to see the changes click on the link below:

Barbara
BTW, the Weurttemberg Immigration Index shows Caroline Barbara Lang, b. 9 July 1843, Eichishof. This is from her application to immigrate, so should be correct. Eichishof is a small town in Wuerttemberg, which matches what is given on the 1880 census. So you may want to correct the birthplace on her memorial.

RE: Re: Pantaleon Metz
Dennis,

After I wrote this I found the Stark County Cemetery Records online in an ebook and I checked that cemetery - no luck. But he could still be buried there without a stone. You may want to phone the church and see what kind of records they have.

Another thought - the Metz burials at St. Bernards are all in row along the back fence, and I recall that there are a couple of stones there that just say 'mother' or 'father' and it was hard to tell who they were to be matched up with (there are a couple of other families also in that general area). I'll have to try and get out there and see if the 'father' stone is close to Barbara's. I doubt if he would have been buried there originally, but they may have move him there after her death.

Incidentally, there was a Barbara Metz who live in the senior center next to St. Bernards - she used to joke with me that she would walk over there to visit 'her' gravestone. Apparently her husband was a descendant of those Metzes, so you may know her.

RE: Re: Pantaleon Metz
I would suggest starting with Saints Philip and James Catholic Cemetery in Canal Futon. That looks like the most likely.

RE: Transfer of Lena Metz
I have transferred Barbara as well. Thank you for doing those corrections. As for Pantaleon, did you say he died in Stark Co? I see that they were in Canal Fulton for a number of years.
