Tombstone wisdom
I have found many times that the first year is often the first full year they lived instead of the year actually born and the second year the last full year they lived instead of the year they died. That was quite popular in our area of Northwestern Ohio

RE: Marker Photos for Smith and Nicholson
Yes, in the lot next to Robert and Helen are John S Smith, b 7/17/21, d 1/15/66, and Agnes Mary b 9/3/22, d 10/20/94, if these are his parents. I did take pictures if you want to request them.

Sherlocks Cousin
Jack - First mistake I've made all year!!!!!!!! LOL...I went digging a little bit and found someone has posted the same photo on 2 different memorials for Andrew Michael Hudak - one at Ft Bliss, TX and one at Ft Snelling in MN. Really strange. I'll send a msg to K.O.A.S. and have him/her remove the photo from the Ft Bliss memorial. The dates were all wrong. But one never knows...the Locator people do make mistakes, but you had a really good eye and made me start really researching:)

Andrew Michael Kudak
Your suggestion to me-
Their suggestion:
Daris is buried with Andrew Hudak, a MASTER SERGEANT, not a LTC per

Jack: There are errors on the Nationwide Gravesite Locator, as my own father's is in error. This also appears to be one of them in error. Take a look at Andrew's headstone photo. It does show LTC and the comments from family engraved on the marker show Colonel at the bottom. Both Daris and Andrew are buried in Section PN, Site 122.

All the grass has been removed in the cemetery and replaced with small rock so there is a difference in their headstone photos (Andrew's headstone photo was taken before the grass was removed).

Easy to find, first entrance from the north off M-55, first row on the right at the very end next to the fence.

Mary Sanders photo request
Mary Sanders
b. 1912, d. 1973
Plot: J 313 - Fort Riley Post Cemetery, KS
Requested by JabberJest
Jul 18, 2014

I took the photo of Mary Sanders prior to your request so not sure why you are requesting one. I can tell you that this is her headstone alone. Normally the spouse is on the back side of her husband but this is not the case. I don't know where her husband is buried.

Do what ever you think is best but I do not want anything transferred back to me. I'm trying to get rid of memorials due to ill health. What I can't find a relative for then I'll transfer to Find A Grave's care.

Fredericksburg Cemetery, Alpine AL
Unfortunately there is no cemetery listed by that name. We have found that many times in that data base. And didn't find one when did a search for cemeteries in Alpine or Talladega County.

I do not add obits and pictures to memorials. If you would like to write something to add to the bio I would be happy to do so. Find A Grave states in their rules not to add obits and pictures due to the copyright law. You can read this in the Q and A on your contributor's page. Thank you
