Re: McClures
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I should have known better about the year of his birth. Also, I took a look on Ancestry and there is at least one tree saying she died Mar 30 1928 in Oklahoma. I added that, but also put a note saying it was from Ancestry and not proven. However, since there is no Missouri death certificate for her, it's a good bet that it's true? Probably a mistake on the stone, which happened quite a bit.

Interestingly, there is a little story of how she saved her father in the civil war. He was about to be hung, when she pleaded to the Union soldiers for his life. The one in charge had a daughter her age and ended up releasing him from the rope.

RE: Wm. Jefferson Pemberton
Hi Jane, so good to hear back from you so fast. Your suggestion is well taken and I always intended on putting another close up so it would be easier to read. I have another close one from years ago that is not digital that I want to use. It shows the cemetery in bad shape. Overgrown in the background before we fixed things. You talk about perspective, well you will get it with these old pictures. You can read the stone real easy though.
Been on today updating and rearranging William`s and others biographies. Filling in some of the cracks and rewriting some things. Just generally making things better if possible.
I like your new picture and you look great. I need to drop a few also. Let me know if you run into any more Snoddy`s around there. Some of Joseph`s uncles and brothers and sisters came to Howard County and vicinity too. Take care of yourself.
Best regards, Eli

RE: Wm. Jefferson Pemberton
Thanks Jane! I will be adding all kinds of stuff to this Cemetery and about the people in it as I have the time. I have a very good picture of Wm. Jefferson Pemberton taken before his marriage around 1867. It is all a work in progress as you well know. Keep up the good work as always. Sincerely, Eli Chandler

Wm. Jefferson Pemberton
Hi Rosie Cat, my name is Eli Chandler and I am a 3rd great grandson of Wm. Jefferson Pemberton. I just became a member of Find A Grave last month and I have talked to Nancy Meadows about a lot of graves trying to figure some things out. We have worked on the Mott Cemetery`s lately.
I can tell you that William is in the Snoddy/Garner Cemetery in Howard County near where he lived and had a farm. I looked at all the other Snoddy names from the destroyed Snoddy Cem. but don`t recognize any. I probably am related to some because I do know that other Snoddy`s related to mine where around this area. My family recently restored the Snoddy/Garner Cem. and William has a nice stone there. Please look it up and tell me what you think. I just put on a bunch of pictures but the one of William I had was to far away to put on this time. Most all the rest of them are on there though. If you don`t mind and when you have the time it would be good to delete William from the Randolph County Cemetery.
Tell Nancy I said hey when you talk to her. She told me I would have to talk to you to get it changed. Thanks for all you do. I am just learning all the ropes on Find A Grave. I am sure we will be talking again. Sincerely, Eli Chandler

Hi There
Nice photo of yourself. Nice to see a distant relative.

Naomi and both husbands are connected on the memorial. I am not clear what you want done.

"Please note the additional marriage of my great great grandmother, Naomi Ellen
Padgett Barngrover. Marriage record is on Memorial."

Well, now I'm confused. I did a lot of double-checking, and am sure he did die in 1879, so don't know why he was included on the 1880 census. I've added photos and a death notice found in the Huntsville Herald to his memorial. I have loaned out my cemetery lists, or I would take time now to do all the linking and updating for Hickory Grove Cemetery. Who all are you related to there?
Thanks,
Nancy

Stice
I have made no connection at this time. Bluford is buried with daughters Lucinda (Fenton) and Susan, wife Sabina Hill (Stice Turner) and two sons are in Dripping Spring and another daughter (Bishop) is elsewhere so family is accounted for. The Searcy name shows up in my tree but not with this family and with only 4 stones in the cemetery I can't be sure if there is a connection. Thanks for your help. LG

Stice
Thanks for sorting this out on your end. I'm happy with whatever I get. I will contact the manager of Bluford and ask to include a notation about NO stone located. Would you mind changing Lucinda Fenton's maiden name to Stice? Thanks again, LG

RE: Searcy Cemetery
Thanks for the info! I didn't think we were in the correct spot either...it didn't line up with the GPS, but when we found other Stice stones, I thought I was close... I will go back out and correct the name of the cemetary.

I will have to see if I can find a farmer to point me in the right direction. :) Is there an access road or is it only accessible by walking through someone's yard/land?

Headstone fro Nancy Runmans
Oh, I am so sorry. I think you got your exercise for the day, for sure. I suppose she may not have had a stone, or perhaps it was removed, but I very much appreciate your efforts, anyway.
Thank you for all that you do. It is good that she is memorialized here on Find a Grave, especially if there is no headstone.
Best wishes,
Cerelle

Ok. Hopefully I can find it next time I am back in Boone County. John Connelly is my 5th great grandfather.

Gary Bode (Dorothy Crump, Turner Crump, Annabelle Sims Crump, Sarah Francis Connelly Sims, Francis Marion Connelly, John Connelly).

Which of the many John Connelly lines are you linked to? If you are interested I have quite a collection of data on John Connelly's descendants as well as copies of all the records in his file with the National Archives.
