Clara Provenga BELAND
Kathy,

it ws under Deaths and funerals of the Day, they got many of the dates messed up HOWEVER she couldnt have married Mrs Beland if she died right after Alexander ( the paper could have been 1902 or 1903 one of those bad smeary obits) the year of the paper was very clear though

She is in the 1930 census in Utica with daughters Helen. Birth year at that time says 1849, Canada French

RE: Alexander
You and many other people have done such great work (through Find A Grave, I've found ancestors in cemeteries that I didn't even know existed) that I will simply suggest edits.

RE: Alexander
I cannot find anything definitive as to who Glenn Alexander might have been married to.
Thanks for the edit of Martha Hofer Alexander.

RE: Baby daughter Powell
You're thoughtful to ask, Kathy, but seems I wouldn't have much to directly add to the Powell memorials. They're my husband's kin so I periodically think to go back and see what else I can find...like I need to find the name of third child who survived Winfield Powell...never-ending genealogy, huh.

I've found her son Allen, too so will attempt to get Philena connected to both her sons...thanks so much, Kathy!

RE:PhilenaPowellNugent
PS: Philena was divorced from William Nugent and had two sons Miles & Allen...Miles is also in Webster Cemetery; Allen died 1979, and his burial is unknown to me. William Nugent looks to be in Moscow Union Cemetery.

You've done marvelous work up there!

Hi Kathy, I understand, been there, done that. I find it hard to keep track of all correspondence. I'm always behind in answering.

Kathy,
Thanks so much for the new photos of Sarah's obelisk. You captured the detail very nicely, especially the (lofty) inscription. Hope you had a nice trip out there and are feeling better.
Again, you have our gratitude for your efforts.
Best regards,
RJ

Dear Kathy,
Initially, we weren't exactly sure what you meant by doing "some digging and see what I can find". We're grateful for your efforts and use of your photos! Just don't get out in bad weather and catch a cold because of our request! At least do it on a sunny day... ;-)
Best regards,
RJ
