Thanks for the transfer!
Thanks for creating the memorial for Uncle Buel! John was glad to find out about your connections to his family. I'll keep in touch.

Please Disregard Requests
Please disregard previous requests to transfer management. You are probably as closely related to this family as John. You are doing a great job. I don't think I could handle the job anyway.

Elizabeth Ann McCutchen Vann
I just sent an edit request on Elizabeth Ann McCutchen Vann's memorial. It was showing that Vann was a maiden name but it was her married name.
Elizabeth Ann McCutchen Vann was my 2nd great-grandmother. She was the daughter of Joseph Wesley McCutchen and she married Azariah Vann. Azariah Vann died before 1850 and When Elizabeth Ann died, her mother, Mary Tabitha Caruthers McCutchen, raised her children. My g-grandfather, Macklyn Morris Vann was the youngest of those children. Thanks in advance for making the correction and thanks for the work you do with findagrave.

Thank you for setting up memorials for my ggg grandparents. It's great that you found and recorded these two isolated graves and actually came up with information about their children. Your virtual cemetery for the Hancocks is well-done. For the record, their daughter Frances, married James H. Baker, moved to Texas and both Frances and her husband died in Travis County, Texas. They had a farm on Onion Creek, near Austin, Texas, but their place of burial is unknown.

RE: Town Creek cemetery
I've surveyed the whole cemetery and when I did I took pictures of the headstones, but that was a few years back. I'm related to the Wells that are buried at Town Creek. My main line is Brooks, but also work on Elliott, Garner, Dean, Robertson and Jones. I probably have many relatives buried at Town Creek but can't think of any but the Wells right now.

Stormy, thanks for the notes that you have left on some of the memorials in the town creek cemetery. I have been able to link family members and add maiden names, etc. I copied and pasted a couple of the notes into some of the memorials because of the useful information you added. Just wanted to say thanks for your hard work.

Brenda - thankyou SO SO much for the picture of my 7th gen. great grandfather's headstone! You have no idea how happy I was to see it! My father had told me years ago before he passed, that his grave was somewhere in the Scottsboro area - but I had no idea where or in what condition it could possibly have been in!

Just so wonderful to see it there!

Thank you again Brenda!

Jeannie Little
Hi Stormy,

I do not have much information on any of my father's side of the family. My parents divorced when I was two.

I can get you in contact with a couple of Stephens cousins who might have more information. Just let me know.

My lucky week it seems. I have found two cousins. Now I just have to figure out our connection as I don't have the Stephens you mentioned in current tree I am working on. Trying to rebuild this tree and not knowing many family members has made it very difficult.

I have heard of the name Talley before.

Email me at and I'll see if I can figure out our connection and look for information on ancestry for you.

Take Care,

Jeannie Little

RE: The Lorenzo Boon and Nancy Margaret (Hale) Family
Hello Stormy, forgot to save my msg to you but, as of now dont see anything wrong. I'm just trying to make the connections as we can see the whole family. The work you have done has helped me very much and a great thanks is do.
I'm related to all the Wright's, Lorenzo Boon is my 4th cousin, his father George is the son of David Wright and Susan Statler. Susan is my 2nd cousin and a part of my Statler/Stateler family.
Most people get hung up on the surname but I dont forget all the young ladies, thier families, and the part they all played in making our country progress in the olden days.

RE: Benjamin Atchley 1790
Benjamin had one child, a son by his first wife. His name was John McCampbell Atchley. However her first name isn't known, but it is known that she was a Maples. She died young, he then married ggg grandmother, Martha 'Patty' Chambers. They raised John, plus this is the list of their own children in order: Louisa, Mahala, Joshua H., John Chambers, Mary 'Polly', Isaac Marion, Benjamin 11, McCage Rogers, James, Jesse Marion, Thomas Daniel, and Malissa. John McCampbell Atchley was a Baptist preacher and he married Lydia 'Haggard.' John McCampbell was born in 1802 in Tennessee and died in 1850 in Meigs, Tn. Their first child, Lousia, was born in 1811.
I hope this help's you, I do have information on each of their children's lives & much more on ggg grandfather and ggg grandmother. Please contact me at and we can exchange a lot of info. Thanks...Phyllis

This site is too cool. Wish I had found it years ago as I may not have enough years left to do all I want to on it! HA! My Grandmother (Willie Hancock) told me years ago that we had family in Alabama. My sister Janet (Dethloff) Green lives in Athens Al (near Huntsville) I was just there last week. Glad our paths have crossed. Iam sure we will chat more. Great hearing from you!
