RE: Thompson/Honywood
Please don't misunderstand: the name and place of burial are facts, and as such are open to everyone to use, as are the actual words on the physical memorial. However the photograph and any biography are legally property of the photographer or author - this is what copyright means. Find A Grave has the copyright in the actual layout of the site. Putting something on the internet does not mean giving automatic permission to use it anywhere.
I was happy that you found your distant ancestor, but now I am sorry that you take my attempts to explain matters personally. My 'tone' is just the way I write, and no number of cups of tea are going to change that.
Good luck with your researches. If you wish to let me know when you have verified Dorathy's dates of birth and death, please use the 'edit/send a correction' tab on the memorial.
Best wishes, Sheilia W.

Sorry if I did not make my position on using my material clear in my last message. I have added the following to my Find A Grave profile:
Please DO NOT copy photos or biographies from the memorials I have entered, for whatever purpose and however attributed. I assert my copyright in all such content. Consider using an HTML link to the memorial instead. Thank you.
Incidentally, you seem to have the caps lock on your keyboard permanently on.
Best wishes, SheiliaWyver W.

RE: Re- thompson/honeywood
Thank you for your message. I am pleased that my efforts interested you.
A couple of points: I would prefer that you link to the memorial from Ancestry, rather than lifting my work (in which I have the copyright, including photos) from Find A Grave. I realise that I cannot stop you from copying material on the internet, and you did me the courtesy of telling me what you want to do, but I would rather that you did not do so.
I too am saddened by ruined graveyards, but as you can see from the cemetery photos, Lenham is far from being one of them; it is cherished and well- maintained.
Finally, thank you for supplying dates of birth and death for Henry and Dorathy Thompson; it is easier if you do so via the 'edit' tab on the memorials in question. Perhaps you could recheck your information - you have Henry born 7 years after his spouse died.
Best wishes, Sheilia W.

Robert Atwater
By all means you can use my info. I am also a direct descendant of the Atwaters. I got the info from an Atwater Genealogy book that a relative has. The book is titled Atwater History and Genelogy by Francis Atwater. This book is also found in several libraries across the country so you can check with your local library and see if they have a exhcange program with other libraries.

I have listed two Roberts on findagrave during that period and Im interested to know whcih Robert you are referreing to.

best regards.

Yes, she did call after you. Take care of those bone spurs, I heard they're quite painful. Carol went out to the Cemetery to take a look and didn't find a new stone for Colleen. Maybe her son by Richard had her buried with his father. I don't think I have a date when she married August. I was glad that I came across her obit so soon after her death and got it recorded.

Thanks Pat, I appreciate it. Yea, I learned not to delete photo's either, I saved them in Folders and then on to CD'S. But I photograph whole Cemeteries. THe largest one had almost 3,000 when I got through it had almost 5,000 names. That took me quite a while on that one. But I've done 23 Cemeteries so far. The older the better for me.

Colleen White-Tyler
RE: Colleen Tyler- 99752929
I called and she is buried next to Richard White. The girl at the office told me someone called earlier today and asked about her, but she didn't go far enough because she said the name was Tyler. She told me she was looking right at the book and that she is buried next to Richard.

I don't know what to think now.
It seems like she'd be buried with August and that the plot for Colleen would have been left for another family member.

August tyler's widow
August's widow Colleen Tyler just passed away in August and is also buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Owosso. I know her name is on a headstone with first husband Richard A. White also buried in Hillcrest but I'm wondering if August had bought her a new headstone with the Tyler name on it. I've connected Colleen to both husbands. Her # is 99752929.
Next trip you might take out there would you see if there is another headstone for her or maybe just make the call to the funeral home. I'd sure like to have her correct headstone posted.

Old Spikehorn
I called her this a.m. and yes, she wanted to know where the pictures originated. I deleted your message because of the telephone number... Thanks for getting back with me. Thanks for all the help in uploading pictures, too. We'll keep in touch.

Spikehorn Myer
It is too bad that the memorial number below doesn't bring up Spikehorn. I think his first name was John, but not sure. Anyway, I will look through some lists in the files on my computer. About the images: one does what we do: search on-line in Google. My finding the Obit was also in Google. I just remember (barely) seeing him on trips "up north." He was a real character and deserves to be written up. I will call the person below once I find my information...

Spikehorn Meyer

My name is Izzi Bendall, and I am the editorial assistant at Michigan History magazine. We're planning to feature an article about Spikehorn Meyer in a future issue, and I'm currently in search of artwork. May I ask where you found the following image of Meyer?

If you could please call or e-mail me back either way, I would be extremely appreciative.

Thanks for your help,

I don't know what the monuments look like except for the pictires in Find A Grave. It's a large family plot with Samuel, William Duane, and Esquare Griffith and their families.

Hold off on Griffith
Thanks for notifying me. There is another lady who has been taking photos and researching the Griffiths in Oak Hill, Owosso, so please don't worry about doing anything with these memorials. She is doing it. Appreciate your intentions.

RE: Elmer
You can post it on his memorial if you'd like or email it to me if it's rough looking and I'll type it in, either way I'll give you the credit for it.
Thanks so much.

RE: Images: Map/paper w/signature
Those two images need to go on #85225694. Not on #84903843. Notice that I changed the vertical order of the images for "show and tell."

If you manage a memorial, just click on "Change Order" button which is beneath the images. You get another screen, which shows the images with arrows pointing up or down. Click on any arrow and the image scoots upward or downward, depending on direction the arrow points. Such fun!

Whoever manages a memorial can make these changes easily.

Map for M. Rawson, Rev. War
I saw that the map had been removed. It came back this a.m. Looks good, but is, of course, on the wrong memorial. Why does it look good on the wrong Moses Rawson memorial? If you are not pleased with it, just delete it.

The paper with the signatures will have to be deleted and uploaded on the correct Moses Rawson memorial #85225694 where the map would go, too, OK? You are so patient...thanks!

Pat, I'm BACK! New computer. Thinking about a funeral for my older computer that died!

I see the article about Ella. Strange that the article did not mention her first name. You have the article on the correct page. Thank you ever so much.
