Carrie (Wright) Napper/ Napier
Thanks for the info. Carrie is my paternal grand aunt by marriage. Her husband, Jesse, basically raised my grandfather (Jesse's much younger brother), after the death of their father. You are a closer relation than I am, so if you would like a transfer, I will. She has a son still living (87 I believe), but he has never requested a transfer. By the way, her son uses the surname Napier. If you would like my email address and phone #, I will live them for you via one of your memorials.
Thanks, Kenny N.

William P. Hartlage
Richard DeWitt's Cemetery
Susan - Thanks for the message. I had Richard DeWitt's death certificate when I included this in his bio: "Burial in the East section of Pleasant View Cemetery is assumed as other family members are buried there." Find A Grave has Pleasant View Cemetery as two different places, one East and the other West. There are 146 interments in the East and 111 in the West. This is in each Cemetery's description: "Cemetery notes and/or description:
Apparently when the govt bought the land for Fort Knox in the early 20th Century, it appears that they ran a road through the middle of the cemetery. Now there are two cemeteries which share a single name; officially they are together known by Fort Knox as Pleasant View Cemetery #74. However, actually, the post has posted them as Pleasant View Cemetery (East) and Pleasant View Cemetery (West)." My comment assumes he is buried in the East Section. If he has a marker and it's location is known, I would drop the assumed wording. Perhaps both sections should be combined as Pleasant View Cemetery.

RE: #39529983
I did respectfully submit a note with the decline explaining I have linked her memorial to her spouse Peter Smith.

Smith is one of at least three surnames she acquired through marriages. She was also married prior to William. I kept the last name Edlen for her as that is the name engraved on her headstone. Cemetery books have the plot listed as such as well. She is not buried with Peter Smith. He is also buried with a former spouse.

Thank you,
Kristi Bruner

Linda Devitt
Agnes Nola Devitt Francis
I'll try to be a little more clearer this time, sorry. Agnes Nola Devitt Francis is the daughter of
Michael Devitt and Eliza Wiley Balch. Actually Agnes Nola Devitt's full name is Agnes Magnolia (Nola) Devitt Francis and she has several siblings one of which is Connery Emmanuel Devitt, my husbands grandfather. the memorial # is 9287104. Are you related to Agnes Nola Devitt Francis?

Re: Agnus Nola Devitt
My husband Gary Devitt is the grandson of Connery Emanuel Devitt (1886-1960). We have also been tracking our ancestry for several years. Our records show that Connery is the brother to Agnus Magnolia (Nola) Devitt. We noticed that he is not listed as a sibling on Find A Grave. Also, they had a sister named Katie Eulalia (b 9 Nov 1879) who is not listed. According to our records Katie married a William J Dixon.

You are again very welcome. I had this same thing happen to me twice. Once for my brother in law and again for a cousin. No respect for the family at all.

I went out last weekend and could not find markers for them. I'm checking again and trying to find a time when the nice lady is alone in the office. She will help if the owner is not around.

RE: Sullivan and Kinkade family
You're welcome. Glad to help. Feel free to use the photos as you wish. I found all of them just walking around areas I have not yet photographed. Office was not open today. There were two Sullivan's I didn't find, but they could be elsewhere in the cemetery.

Janis Bott Fowler
RE: Bott Family
Hi Susan! I intended to deal with the double entry for Catherine/Kate Schill Bott but didn't know what to do. In fact, I was looking at it last night and checked the difference in our birth & death dates. The death certificate confirms my entry is just reversed them which is easy to do.

I was also wanting to check our connection so I'm glad you reposted and gave me your husband's great grandparents names. My great grandfather is Sebastian, Sr and is buried in Portland Cemetery. He was born in Hoerstein, Bavaria in 1836 and came to Louisville between 1853 & 1855. So your husband's line is not connected to mine except they both came from Bavaria.

However, I do have some basic info on this line, if you need any info. When I first started I found Patrick Hays on line & living in Louisville at that time. He had done research on all of the Johann Bott names who had come here from Bavaria in that time frame. His purpose was to prove that his then wife had Bott in her ancestor's line. He emailed me all of his data on the families such as: wife, marriage date, birth & death, cemetery, children, grandchildren, etc.

I would like to put the headstone that you posted on my Bott entry since I have a lot of info entered. Then, I can ask the person who has the other entry to delete theirs even though it was entered before mine was. I never noticed it.

I would be happy to talk with you, if we had a way of sharing phone numbers safely. Are you on Facebook? I could message you and only you would see it and could give you my email & phone number.

Swaim Family
I've been working on photos for Monroe Cemetery, Harvey, Scott Co, AR. While talking to a person on the cemetery committee, he stated that Ernie Swaim went to Monroe Cemetery before he passed away and was shown his grand parents unmarked graves. I thought they were talking about Luther Clegg and Dorsia Swaim but they are both buried at Killian in Yell County. Could the graves have been for Robert Thomas Austin (1853-1893) and Elizabeth Butler Austin (1853-1920)?
