RE: Carpenter graves
Whoops! I just went back and looked at the memorials and realized that I am the one who said they were in the Martin Cemetery! Sorry about that. Perhaps they can be located someplace else. I may have assumed they were there because other family members are. As I said, in my previous message, I will check with a cousin who was also taking photos (same reunion) and perhaps she can help. RE: Carpenter graves
Happy to take the photos on a recent trip to Fleming County. I am just sorry that I could not locate the other headstones you mentioned. These folks are in my family tree also. But, it is a small cemetery and I walked the whole thing without success. Are you certain that Elias, California, Omar, and Alexander Carpenter are buried there also? The Martin Cemetery is on the farm previously owned by my GGrandfather Martin. His daughter married a Carpenter and they were my grandparents. I am trying to contact a cousin who may have photos of these headstones. You are welcome to use the photo in your tree.

RE: Swaim Pictures
Of course, you may use them on your tree. I noticed that Margie does not have a death date on the monument. I will watch and when a death date is added, I'll take another photo. I added the info and photos for Benjamin and Phoebe Swaim to Find A Grave today. I hope you will find it useful.

RE: Ernest H Francis #32489501

Well, that made much more sense. I was really wondering when I took a photo for Ernest Mann.

You absolutely can use my photo as you need.

I am always glad to help.

RE: Ernest H Mann

I regret that I do not recall taking Ernest H. Mann's photo, although I do take photos of Mann gravesite whenever I find them. Can you please provide the memorial number so I can look at the photo.

Homer VanTreese
Hazelwood Cemetery is pretty good sized. I've been walking it sporadically for years and have come no where close to getting the job done. And it doesn't appear that I have much help in doing the photography. That whine out of the way, if I do a family, I generally do the entire family that is buried together. Hence, if Homer isn't listed, either he is in a different part of the cemetery or else he does not have a stone. I'll be in Iowa near the cemetery later this summer, I'll see if I can figure something out for him. Best, Kim Porter

Albert Fendell
Question about Alert Fendell. Next to his stone is a World War I marker (which he would be old enough to have been in) - but on his stone it says World War II (which he would be 50+). Both his sons (John and Ira) served in WW II.

Did he serve in both wars? Just Curious. See photos that I uploaded.

Could you please link Anna Schene Seiler to her parents Dietrich Schene (#125795572) and Mary Schmidt Schene (#125795675). I think it would be nice for her to appear with her brothers and sisters. Thanks, Clay Murphy (#48358668)

Susan, I never received the above request, but then again if it went to my mail I can't receive it as my mail is messed up. Give me a day or so to transfer her but I want to keep Joseph as he is my husband's great uncle. My husband's grandmother was a Wink.

RE: Joseph E Blythe #65696510
I searched for obituary and death record, and found no information on his wife's death or burial; she may still be living (born approx. 1919), or possibly remarried and would have a different last name.

I did find Joseph & Margaret's son, also named Joseph, who is buried in Indiana in 2004 -- see MEM. #46922771.

Best of luck in your search, Jean

RE: Yearns
Yes, too bad about the tombstones, seems like a lot of people didn't get them if they weren't too well off.
Actually Nearns is the original surname, with Yearns becoming a variation by early 1800's. It's very odd and something I hope to understand someday. It took me over a year of research to convince myself I was looking at the same family line.
