RE: Lydia & Rebecca Oliphant
Let's hope this clears up the question. I do think it is great to have a twin. My nephew has twins. Watching them in action is neat. They have their own language.

I've decided that 5/25/1876 is the correct birth date. I noticed I can get an obit for Rebecca. I'll try that avenue to be sure.

Thanks - which date is correct? 5/25/1876 or 4/27/1876. I should have questioned this earlier. Let me know.

Thank you for your reply. I was specifically looking for someone who knew Odena's sister, Doris and was hoping to ask some question regarding her as an adult. Rachel

Odena Riddle Freeman
Thank you for the update for Odena. I know with most Find A Grave entries/corrections there is no family connection...BUT if you have any personal family ties to the Riddle family would you email me off line?

RE: Rebecca Hazel
Rebecca, I am referring to Rebecca Hazel who married William Bowen. She is my direct ancestor William Caleb Hazels sister. Caleb Hazel Jr and Mary Ann "Polly" Atherton are their parents. I used to live about one block or so from Walkers Chapel Cemetery. I volunteered at the Monroe County Historical Society and was in the Herald Times as a result of finding my own biological father Steven Lee Hazel Sr via my research as he was never around in my childhood. When my mother passed in 2001 I went searching for my dad hence my interest in our Hazel Family.

RE: Rebecca Hazel
Well hello cousin. Nice to meet you. Your Rebecca and my William are brother and sister. I have been researching our line over 20 years now. You definitely need to get a copy of the book Under the Chinquapin Tree by Isaac Harvey Hazel. It is a biographical story of our early Hazels and mention The Bowens and Wrights in great detail. I have a copy somewhere in PDF format if you are interested. My William Caleb Hazel married Phoebe Ann Dewitt and had Andrew Jackson Hazel who married Lauretta Wright. Im on Facebook if you are interested in keeping in touch. Sincerely your cousin, Donnie Hazel.

Hi there, I have just vital information on him. May I ask how you connect to the Hazel line. We married into both the Oliphant and Snow families.

RE: Grandparents
Thank you for your kind offer. Some years -- 5-7 -- ago I found a copy for abt $10.00 and bought it. It's a paper copy that looks like it's been reproduced many times - but you get what you pay for.

I looked at the Crum line in the book and found some info - but it doesn't really tell me why a William Wright would have them listed as 'heirs' to his estate - unless they were close kin. Hence, my inquiry about the SARAH who was their mother. My instinct tells me she would have to be a WRIGHT - but I'm not finding any Sarah that did - from any line of our Richard's.

RE: Grandparents
That's because I'm a lot older than most :^)

I'm very interested in your line at this point:
Polly Ann Bowen Graves # 62750930 G-Grandmother
William Bowen # 55262379 GG-Grandfather
Frances Ann "Frankie" Wright Bowen #106406298 3xGGM
James Benjamin Wright # 68700136 4xGGF
Benjamin Wright, Sr # 93696367 5xGGF
Richard Wright, Sr # 106608070 6xGGF

Perhaps you can help me with a line that is attached to this line as well - the Crum family.

I found an estate document [larger than this, but this is the snapshot I need to know about]

WRIGHT, WILLIAM Estate [Box 71-74 (Box 68)]
Pleasant Fossett, Administrator [Filed November 18, 1850]. Decedent died intestate.

"That the said WILLIAM WRIGHT deceased left as his heirs and legal representative -
RACHEL WRIGHT [1850 living in the household of PETER WRIGHT, Monroe County]
and Peter Wright [1850 HH, Monroe County]; his sister and brother adult persons, and both of the county of Monroe and the State of Indiana, and also ---
ELIJAH WRIGHT [son of said William Wright]; JACOB CRUM; JOHN H. CRUM; MARY ANN CRUM, wife of Pleasant Fossett, m. 27 Oct 1842 Monroe]; and DAVID CRUM - all adult persons, and all of whom are brothers and sisters, CHILDREN OF THE SAID DECEASED,, ALL OF THE ABOVE NAMES HEIRS ARE OF MONROE COUNTY, IN. [Jacob, John H, Mary Ann, David, & Eliza Crum are well-documented as the children of John Crum and Sarah."

Sarah’s surname has not been found. Do you happen to have any information on any of the CRUM line. Seems your James Wright's family married into that line. I'm trying to find how that initial connection came about and why William Wright's estate would indicate the Crum 'children' are his children.

ANY info would be wonderful. Thanks!
