Just want to thank you for giving us a photo of their gravestone. My mom is 90 yrs old and is the sister to David and has never seen his gravestone until today. We live in Utah and it would be impossible for her to make the trip. I think it brought a little closure to her to see where David was put to rest. What a wonderful gift you have given. Thank you very much. Kathy

Rodney, I was delighted to see the markers for my Uncle Bill Hricinak and his wife and in-laws! You do such a service for us all! It is especially crucial that we have dedicated folks like you when a National cemetery is concerned as these veterans are frequently interred far away from their homes and families. I will sing your praises when I add the photos to my trees on Ancestry.

Are you all still adding photos to Hampton National? I remember Ron saying he was done, but noticed you added a picture on a memorial I just added 2 days ago. Just curious.

Thank you for the photo of my grandmother's stone in the Hampton Veteran's Cemetery. Funny thing is, the stone says she served in the US Air Force in WWII, and the story she always told us was that she served in the WAAC - Women's Army Auxiliary Corps - before "Auxiliary" was removed and they became the WACs. Her last husband, who she is buried with, did serve in the Air Force. When she was in her last days and being cared for at the Hampton VA Hospital, on visits we heard staff who didn't know her name refer to her as "the woman" on the floor, because she was the only one there at that time. Thanks for all you do!

I appreciate you sharing the knowledge and most especially the tips, etc. You're putting an enormous amount of loving care in seeing than honor is paid to these men.
Would you please check out this link. I really believe it is Charles's father.

Thanks so much for your note about his grave being Exhumed from New Bern National Cemetery and reinterred in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Bern, NC.
I saw the Interment Control Form with the note over on Ancestry.
The original memorial page (in New Bern) was set up, and is still controlled by US Veterans Affairs.
I went ahead and set up a new memorial page over at Cedar Grove and requested a photo ... that way we can ask them to move it, once we're sure he's there.
Thanks again for all of your help,

Hello again Rodney,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring Dora Lee Boles Allen to my care. I have successfully connected her with family and siblings. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
I did know that her sister's name was Bessie and not Ressie. I just thought if you transferred her to me I would change it then. I am sorry, I guess I would have saved you time if I had told you that information earlier.

Rodney, So sorry. She has been moved, she was entered by my husband and he called a funeral home in the area and this was the info he was given. Some how there was an error. She has been removed and put in unknown til we solve the problem. Thank You for letting us know. Did your death certificate happen to say where she is? Thank You Penny

I am working with the 115th and will continue to do that, so you may get more as the VA sends them to me. Often I have added a calculated birthdate as I believe an "about" year is better than a unknown, Just letting you know this as some folks are purists

1st of all you're not bothering me. I just happened to disagree with your logic. Everyone is starting to get caught up with who did what 1st. What matters is which memorial was the better one. As you stated that you "figured" it out quicker about the error I wasn't paying attention to that. I just put in my spelling on my photo & nothing came up in the search. I did the research, put a virtual flower on it & added a photo. I never looked back since I have a lot of work to do. As I stated to another Find A Grave volunteer I've been working on Hampton for over 5 years now. I just got side tracked & forgot to add the thousands of photos I took there. Also I've seen a number of DUPLICATE memorials in Hampton. As a matter of fact I saw a couple the other night. Did you find those? If not you might want to check on that. Last but not least you might want to add an email address to your profile. This is a much better way to communicate. Last but not least there are at least 7 people working on Hampton National Cemetery not 6...

Unfortunately I'll have to disagree w/you about removing my duplication. Due to the fact the Govt had it misspelled the duplicate was done. I actually had no idea there was another. Also their submission is rather incomplete at best & I'm not removing a much better memorial just because they did one 10 years earlier....You guys should've requested they dump theirs..

I've corrected her name, and linked her to her parents. But only the people who made the entries for her children can link their parents to them.
