RE: Cleo Shields
Thank you so much for taking and posting the photo of the gravestone for Cleo Shields.
She was the wife of one of my fellow employees, Santos (Sandy) Shields, who just died.

RE: Walter Archer
I'm so happy that one of the "random" photos I took was one that you requested! My computer wouldn't work there at the cemetery so I was just photographing markers in hopes that they hadn't already been photographed for findagrave. It is a huge cemetery and it was a beautiful day so my husband and I really enjoyed our exploration.

Thank you very much Donald, I really do appreciate it. Yes I know it is a disappointment when you look for headstones, and there is no death date on them, but yet you know for sure that they have passed on. I have seen this quite regularly in both newer headstones and older ones. I think though the ones that bother me more or the ones that still have the marker from the funeral home, and it has just about all faded away. Pretty soon there will be no marker at all for those people.

Again, even without the death date, I do still have a headstone picture, and that is really what is important. Thank you so much again.

Just got confirmation from Moore Funeral Home that Alma and her husband Fred are buried in the section called Garden of Devotion; Lot 76, Spaces 1 & 2.

Thank you very much for the message. I will contact the cemetery office tomorrow and see if they will provide the grave location.

So many of the large "corporate" cemeteries are making it harder to obtain information, unless a family member is the one requesting and I'm not sure I qualify, but will see what I can find.

In reference to Mark Allison which was prior mentioned, I googled his name and found a hit for his memorial on Find A Grave and clicked on it and found that his memorial was somehow merged with Lassiters on Find A Grave! I have no idea how that happened. Just wanted to follow up with you on that matter. I knew it was there, and it is now gone.

When I checked my photo requests, the Lassiter was there and I didn't put it there as I don't even know him!!! Mark Allison was there but is now gone. That's spooky that things happen that we don't actually put there. I can't even find the memorial in Find A Grave for the right Mark Allison now. He was a distant relative of mine.

While I appreciate you trying to do volunteer photos, I never put in a request for a photo for a Lassiter. I did, however, have a request in for a Mark Allison in Arlington Texas which I can't even find in Find A Grave now.

Charles Russell Photo Request
Thank you Mr. Ward for helping my family and me with this request! Your information for Moore Memorial was very helpful and I got the information we needed!

Charles Edward Russell Prayer R Space 44
Evelyn J. Russell Prayer R Space 45

I do not think any adjoining plots will be family, but if there are other Russells buried nearby I would appreciate their information added if possible.

If you have any requests for the Grimes County area of Texas please let me know and I will work to take care of it.

Hello Mr. Ward,
Thank you for your kind words. I'm just another genealogist like you who appreciates the generosity of other F.A.G. volunteers that have helped me fill in gaps in my tree. I like to return the favor.

I went back to Wildwood this morning for Marion's grave photo and by accident while looking at the records realized there is another interment in this Neiley plot that is not marked. The name is Susanne White and she was buried here in the summer of 2015. I will send you the info via e-mail and you can create a memorial for her.

Mary Manning, St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell
Hi. In the plot for Mary Manning, there also lies Nellie Manning (d.1944) and Hannah Manning (d. 1951). There is a Leo Manning in the cemetery in a different location. If you are curious, the cemetery's database is online and searchable. click "genealogy" and you will see it. Best wishes!

RE: Effie V. (Abbott)(Fitch) Roberts
Thank you Donald! We enjoy doing this, and actually spend a lot of time researching on Ancestry to get "similar" names or maiden/family names. We had a neat one this week that took a lot of research and 2 complete cemetery walks for someone else, after finding a first marriage name and the person being buried with that family. Very rewarding! Becky and I both appreciate your comments! BTW, we lived in Plano for 4 years and Colleyville for 7, and our son and his family live in North Dallas!
