|Mike Harlow||RE: Schanz Head Stones|
You are most welcome for the Schanz family tombstone photos. I think I have a couple more to get in another section of the cemetery, and that should complete all the Schanz stones in Ridge Park.

There were only the 2 Teckemeyer's. Mina's was spelled Tick*, different from Casper's. I shot at least 1 Schanz - Roselia M. I have about 30 shots that are illegible to the naked eye. When I have a little more time I'm going to run them through some interpretation software in the hopes of identifying some of them. It will take a couple of days to upload the rest of these images for this cemetery - check back at the end of next week for Roselia M Schanz's photo. Thanks

I am wondering what you know about the Holland W Rhoads family. Is he a descendant of Captain Henry Rhoads (1739-1814)? Buried near Greenville, Muhlenberg, KY. His descendants moved on to Indiana and points beyond.

Your welcome!! I guess I missed it the first time around by not being thorough enough. It had a Christmas wreath around the vase hiding the name. I have no problem with you using the photo.

Nancy, I appreciate your thanks and as to the state of the cemetery, it's not the best of shape all the time but with the added efforts of volunteers at various times during the year it isn't too bad. Most head markers are quite visible with only some vegetation around the edges. I think there are some ownership issues but I'm not sure about the present status. I believe the cemetery's condition will get better before it gets worse. Fred

Nancy, I did get their photos, nut I want to apologize because the shadows were awful in them. I think now, what I should have done was take the flowers out before taking the photos. So sorry about that.

Elizabeth Hefflefinger died 29 Aug. 1868 in Henry County, Va.
She was born in 1795.
I don't know where she or Jacob are buried.
Jacob was born in 1781 in PA. and died 10 Aug. 1868 in Henry County, Va.
They may be buried in the Irisburg community of Henry County, Va. I see some family there on the Census records.
