Thank you so much for attempting to find his marker! You really went above and beyond checking with the Town Hall records. What a shame that the marker is lost, but at least someone must have recorded part of the inscription.
Please let me know if you ever have a request in the San Francisco Bay area -- my husband and I are always happy to search in our local cemeteries.
