Louis Muzzy #36969078
Hi,

I was trying to find the Missouri D/C # and was wondering under what spelling did you find Louis Muzzy. I found what I thought was his mother but she was married to Frank L. Muzzy.
Any help you can give me is appreciated.

Thanks for the information you sent.

Sylvia

Thank you. My apology, but I'm not sure what it was you added or changed. I checked my ancestry tree and have the information in your message. Maybe I've been pounding this keyboard too long today and can't see that forest for the trees!

RE: Mary Thorne Grimes
Thank you for your reply. Do you have a document or documents that provide a link between Mary Thorne Grimes who was living in Hancock Co., Illinois, in 1850 and Polly Thorne mentioned in the 1810 Culpeper Co., Virginia, will of her grandmother Mary Calvert? Or is this an assumption based on them being born at approximately the same time in Virginia with the same name?

You have listed Nicholas Thorne and Mary Calvert as the parents of this Mary Thorne Grimes. May I ask what support you have for this?

Ric Tobin
rictobin@cox.net

Mary Calvert Thorne was dead by 20 Jun 1810, several months before you show the birth of this Mary Thorne.

Samuel Hampton Info
Your question?
Do you have a list of Samuel Ferdinand's children? Am looking for info on Samuel Hampton who married Mary Eunice Bryant. Their son Samuel Livius is also buried in AR.

Answer:
My Great Grandfather was Samuel Ferdinand Hampton III b 21 Dec 1824 in Lincoln, Tenn. d 22 Feb 1913 in Barber, Logan, Arkansas. He married Martha Elizabeth Terrell b 1829 d 1911 in Barber, Ark. They are both buried in Antioch Cemetery near Barber. They had 11 children. I have complete information on all of them. All my Hampton ancestors lived in logan County. I have no listing for Mary Eunice Bryant.

Other Hampton families did live in Arkansas that are probably distantly related.
Can you give me additional information such as birth dates, deaths and places they lived?

Hi,

I added the marriage info to Catharine's memorial, as requested, with one change. There is no Vigo County in Illinois that I'm aware of, but there is one in Indiana, so I entered it as Indiana.

Thanks,
Jeff

RE: James and Jeremiah Pewitt
I know that James married Martha "Mollie" Elizabeth Hay January 1872 and there is no record or James having a second wife nor a first wife other than Martha. they were born in their late teens when they got married. James died in 1932 and Elizabeth died in 1842 and she listed herself a a widow.

James Monroe Pewitt
Hello,

I have been doing research on this family for over 10 Years.

James Monroe Pewitt was the son of John Andes Pewitt and Elizabeth Givens. James is the brother of my 3rd Great Grandfather and James' wife is the sister to my 3rd Great Grandmother. James and Jeremiah Pewitt married sister, Mary A. C. Hay and Martha Elizabeth Hay.

James' Grandparents were James B. Pewitt and Catherine Andes.

Can you please correct the information on James' FindAGrave site?

RE: F. A. Eveatt
Yes, Alice died in 1892 in Linn County, Kansas. Maybe the grave site was donated to the family or that they had no other way to bring him back to Linn County. They had 14 children together, five under the age of 18 when he passed. I'm not sure what happened, or why he was even in Missouri in the first place, maybe for a job? I'll try to do some more research on this family and see if I can come up with an answer.

Thank You,
Sandra

Thank You,

#85722538 O'Neil
Hi,

I looked up the obituary for this death and have discovered that this is not William F. O'Neil Jr., but in fact Helen O'Neil - a daughter. The cemetery records clearly listed it as William when the purchase was made for Helen's burial. The obituary reads as follows:

"Helen O'Neil, daughter of William F. and Annie (North) O'Neil, died last night at the home of her parents, 39 Lilley avenue, after a brief illness, aged 4 years, 7 months and 2 days." - The Lowell Sun, Friday, September 19, 1919, page 3.

Have a look
at Nancy Berry 44472222. I saw your information. I had communicated with the previous page transferee who did not want Nancy and did not realize she had her. I asked for a transfer simply because I am trying to figure out some of the early Brownsville, Missouri area settlers. I grew up in that town by its later name: Sweet Springs.
