RE: Mallett Cemetery
Hi
I lived in Willow was married in the Methodist church in Willow and I graduated from Huron High school in 1966 so I am pretty fiamilar with the area. My Aunt that is buried at Malley Cemetery also lived in Willow. I only new the Cemetery as the Mallet Cemetery when growing up. I think maybe some of us need to get together and put up a sign for the Mallett Cemetery. My daughter is going to make a visit to see the family and will be sending me some more photos. Later Angie

RE: John Rose
I agree! I am incredibly annoyed when people involved in this get upset over the sharing/posting of their photos. I have seen a particular Cemetery's website owner have fits over information being shared here as well. I have to ask, what are you in this for? Are you trying to help others with their family history or do you want personal recognition for your collection of other people's relatives who have passed on?

RE: John Rose
Thank you!!! That was very kid of you & it sure made it easy for me to find them as I was uploading. Florence's dates are on the stone, she was born in 1875. (I think you knew it already... :) ) I uploaded both sides of the stone for everyone, feel free to remove one or the other if you prefer. Also feel free to use my photos on other sites such as Ancestry if you like.

John Rose
I see you have created a memorial for John Rose. I have a photo I was about to upload. Just like your memorial, it states he lived 1848 to 1899, but his name is on the back side of a stone for William Rose, his wife Margaret Ann & Florence M. Is this the right John Rose for your memorial?

RE: Oscar Walling
Sherri- I totally agree with you. I have found so many conflicting records over the years. One for example printed the persons death before the date of death on the tombstone !! Oh, My! Thanks for your kind reply. Happy hunting.

RE: Oscar Walling
Perhaps the info I sent is not accurate, I only copied what was entered in the LDS records for Michigan Deaths. I have not seen the actual Death Certificate. There are always inconsistencies, even in Death Certificates versus the tombstone inscription. If you prefer not to enter the data I sent, that is entirely up to you. Thank you for your reply.

Sherri,

Would you care to have Daniel's memorial transferred to you? Or, should I see if the person who has his parents would care to have it?

I think it is nice when a family member has the memorial. I'm not related.

Samuel Stoughton Stevens
Hi Sherri, My intention was to transfer the entire Samuel Stoughton Stevens lot to you... a few still need links. I followed your links down to 124518037 and a familiar cemetery appeared...Cedar Park in Hudson, where my family is buried. Small world. :-) Alice

the heart that cares
Sherri,
I recently was thinking of my father and decided to type his name into the search bar on my computer.I was not sure what to expect but to my surprise I was taken to find a grave.I thought that he was only a memory in the hearts and minds of only a few perhaps almost forgotten.I do not know if you were a person who knew him in some way,or how,or why you have made this memorial to him,but I want to thank you for this, and for being the heart that cares enough to carry the memory of those that have passed on bless you,and thank you

Thank you so much for the terrific photo you added to Florence, Harley and Robert Buhr.

I looked at Florence's memorial this past week, made a small change, and wondered why I'd never requested a photo. Tried to make a request, but it was rejected because I actually had already done it -- years ago.

Perfect timing,

Linda
